"One Life to Live" hasn't been up to par for a long time....maybe a couple of years.....but I do tune in for a few people, and Tuc Watkins, as "David Vickers" is one of them. His role has evolved over the years as he's come and gone, and this time it seems like the stars were aligned correctly on his first air date back. The show is always better when he's on.
Tuc was born on September 2, 1966 in Kansas City, Kansas. He has a Virgo sun and Aries moon (if he was born after sunrise). Normally, this would give the Virgo personality more get up and go, but ol' Saturn is hanging around in late Pisces, near the moon, so it kind of sits on his emotions....where an Aries moon would tend to have one 'blow up' emotionally periodically, Saturn will implode the energy....at the very least he'll be slower to anger than an Aries planet person would normally be. Uranus and Pluto met up in the sky in Virgo in and around 1966. It was the time of the hippies and free love (Uranus)...Pluto gave power to this new evolutionary phase. Tuc's sun conjuncts both Pluto and Uranus; so while he seems easy going, there's a strong personality there, that needs to be in control, and yet fights for his independence and freedom. Even without Pluto being involved, the Sun and Uranus being 'conjunct' shows he's an individual who's a non conformist. It's like he's an Aquarian, because Uranus is the ruling planet of Aquarius. Tuc has 4 planets and 1 asteroid in Virgo - Mercury, Sun, Pluto, Uranus and Vesta. That's a stellium and concentrates his energy. However, Pluto has been doing thru Sagittarius since 1996, and it has squared (stressed) his Virgo planets, one right after another. It has been a sustained time of evolutionary growth, and diamond making time. Tuc isn't the same person he was in 1996 when this transit started. "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger" and Tuc, as well as all Virgos, have had one hell of a time the past 9 years, with 3 more to go. Fortunately, Uranus was at 19 degrees of Virgo and that's his last Virgo planet, and Pluto is at 24 Sag right now, so the intensity and implosions are on the wane. Sagittarius is 4 signs after Virgo, so Pluto is traversing Virgo people's 4th house - the nadir, the foundation, the roots, the trunk of the tree (it's been said that the fourth house at the base of the chart is the trunk of the tree and it's roots, while the other 11 signs are the branches, twigs and leaves). When a major planet goes thru the 4th house - and Pluto is the most major of the major planets - it is a sustained period of roto rootering one's life, and when it squares and stresses a group of planets like this, it's 'diamond making time' as I look at it - it makes you stronger and impervious to things that used to upset you....but it tain't easy! It's a sustained period of growth, transcendence and evolution. Uranus in Pisces currently, is entering Tuc's 7th solar house of relationships; so it's a good probability that someone will come into his life unexpectedly during the next 8 years. Chinese Astrology - Tuc was born in the Year of the Horse and the month of the Snake (from a meridian perspective). The Horse hates to feel vulnerable. It wants to be in relationship; it wants it more than anything....but it also makes it vulnerable, so the Horse personality can reach out for love and then run away from it at the same time. "Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved" should be their motto. One has to risk to get love. Born in the month of the Snake, the meticulousness and perfectionism of the Snake doesn't help the Horse to find a mate. The Snake is very analytical, and can tap into people's energy psychically. The Snake will often say "s/he makes my skin crawl" - The Snake looks for acceptance and approval and fears rejection. It will test people again and again, seeing what it would take to make them leave - when the line has been crossed, then the Snake person has to make the decision whether not to cross that line again....or move on. Robin Strasser (Dorian) is a Taurus - another earth sign. They probably understand each other and get on quite well, unless there are other stresses in their charts. One Life should thank it's lucky stars that Tuc is on the show. In the cycle of things, OLTL will come around to be a popular show again, but in the meantime, Tuc and Nathanial Marston, Hillary Bailey Smith, Kathy Brier, Rene Elise Goldsberry and Bree Williamson keep the viewers tuned in, hoping for more.
