When Chrishell Stause debuted as Amanda Dillon on AMC on May 4, 2005, she did so with a bang. One would never have guessed it was her first role out of college; she was a professional soap actor from the first scene..... My thought was that she had been on a soap on another network besides abc, since I don't watch them; but no, this is her first professional role (see IMDB).

Chrishell was born on July 21, 1981 in Draffenville, Kentucky. As I looked at the date for the first time, my mind racing with other things, I thought, "A Leo! Of course, she's a Leo." I love Leos, and I liked her from the start. But, when I did up her chart I did a double take, "Ooops! She is a Cancerian, but her sun sign is 28 degrees of Cancer, so for all intent and purposes she's a Leo. She was born on the cusp between signs, so she has a smattering of Cancer which would tone down the natural exuberance of Leo; make her more sensitive and maybe insecure, and people are probably surprised when they find out that her feelings get hurt far more easily than one might expect, with the confident Leo usually holding court. Leos love the limelight, and they feel a personal responsibility to entertain and make people smile.

The moon sign adds to this sensitivity, being in Pisces probably, unless she was born late in the day...water signs (Cancer and Pisces) added to Leo (Fire) can cause steam in its best expression. Leos are natural entertainers, and Pisceans are natural character/working actors who morph into their roles.

Chrishell was born with 4 Cancer heavenly bodies (the asteroid Pallas being one of them), and actually only Venus is Leo, but as I said, her sun is so close to Leo, she might as well be one; she certainly looks like a Leo. With the Cancerian and Leo signs so dominant in her chart, she is undoubtedly artistic in some fashion.

Interestingly, Chrishell has the Sun in Cancer at 28 degrees conjuncting almost exactly, Pallas Athene (refer to the article on Levin Rambin). Pallas was a Greek Goddess who was born from the head of her father, Zeus (Jupiter). This makes Chrishell very intelligent with a masculine cast to her thought process. Because of this and Mercury conjuncting Mars in Cancer, she may be quite straightforward in her dealings and communication with others.

A major aspect is the Master Yod, explained elsewhere on this site, (Neptune sextile Pluto) is pointing at Chiron in Taurus. Chiron is the wounded healer and one would think that this major configuration would mean that she has great rejuvenative powers, and will be looked upon in her life as a wounded healer. On a web site, Chrishell answered a question about whom she would like to meet, and her answer was her biological father. This Yod points right at the 10th house of father , so with Chiron there, indicates this is a big wounding in her life. The warrior planet, Mars, which usually skips thru signs in a couple of months, hangs around in Taurus til February 2006, and will go over this point 3 times, September, October and February...... events from the past could come up for further review and healing.

CHINESE ASTROLOGY: Chrishell was born in the Year of the Rooster, and the month of the Cat/Dragon. She has sensitivity with her kidneys, large intestines and stomach. Roosters have fears; some rational, some not, and can project fear....their quest is to find peace within themselves and in their outer world. The Dragon likes to shop. It likes to 'have' things, and as I've said before, sometimes it's just more important to have it than to actually use it. Parents usually have fits with their little dragons who don't utilize their toys and things; but one needs to realize that the Dragon gets a feeling of being full and content when they are in the midst of their posessions.

2/06 - In the interim since putting up this chart, I heard from Chrishell, who said she was born between 5-5:30 am. So, looking at her chart from this perspective, we see that Neptune is near her ascendant (rising time) which gives her that ethereal beauty (Marilyn Monroe was a Gemini, with Neptune in the first). A person with Neptune so prominently placed is going to be drawn to film and acting; other professions are dancing, music, glamour, makeup, behind the scenes activities, counseling, photography).

The moon is indeed in Pisces, at the base of her chart; it's in the 3rd which is an indication of a fine writer... but near the 4th of the base of her chart, and there are many aspects to the moon, so mom is a strong force in her life. Using the time of her birth for this chart, the sun is in her 8th house, which would give her recuperative powers, and the ability to delve deep for answers. Pluto in the 10th says her father was probably a powerful man, and Pluto in this position also says that you become known away from your place of birth; ie. you can come into promience by moving....and New York seems to be that place, for Chrishell!

Now that we know the time of birth, we can add to the Chinese totem: she was born in the hour of the Tiger (4:15 am standard time), and ....well the minute would be the Monkey, Rooster or Dog. ...the Rooster would fall around the 5:15 mark. The Tiger deals with tolerance and pride and has periods of grief and sadness; there can be issues with the lungs.

As I upload this to the site, "Amanda" is in a pivotal role with her mom, "Janet from another planet" and is doing a great job. With all the exits on AMC this year, they need a new 'star' on the show, and Chrishell is sure to be in contention for that crown. I tape the soaps most of the time and fast forward thru a lot sometimes, but when Chrishell comes on, the 'play' button is hit immediately!

The chart for Amanda shows that the sun in Gemini is approaching Venus at early degrees of Cancer. It isn't a conjunction per se, but it's close enough that I would say that is why "Amanda" is so attractive and draws people to her even tho she's a conniver. The moon is in Pisces, which is square to the sun, which, as you've read elsewhere before, the sun square the moon says that the parents weren't getting along at birth....and as I recall "Janet from another planet" duped Trevor, and pretended to be her twin sister on her wedding day to be impregnated by Trevor.....sounds like a soap, doesn't it?

In this chart, the Moon is in the 10th house, which would say that her mother is the focal, dominant parent in her life. The moon conjuncts Chiron, which shows a wounded mother and perhaps a wounded relationship between them. The moon/chiron inconjuncts Pallas/Saturn in Leo, and we know that Pallas can create genius but it can also cause mental issues; it isn't in the 4th house, but it's on the cusp.....Pallas and Saturn went into Amanda's 4th house shortly after birth and would have opposed her moon/Chiron as a baby, triggering Janet's personality problems possibly.

Where does Amanda get her manipulative skills? From Mercury opposing Pluto. It's good if you want to go into research, or need to keep an important secret, but negatively, it shows a person who can wield and manipulate at will to get her way...and know that's she's doing it at the time.

Amanda was born in the Chinese year of the Rooster,which would put the Rat in the mother section of the chart, and this would indicate someone (mother) who could go into melt down periodically. It also says there can be abandonment by mother, or loved to the nth degree.

Currently, Pluto is moving into Amanda's 7th house of relationship, indicating that it's probably not Jaime with whom she'll be hooked up, but a more powerful, controlling, manipulative person - JR????.....Adam??? Uranus moving into Amanda's 9th could see her going to college or traveling, with interesting, unexpected events occurring during the experience. Neptune in her 10th says that her father is missing from her life, or she is in a frame of mind to go into a more artistic career, and make sudden changes in her major. Saturn is in Leo at her 'birth', and is back there, and in a year or so will meet up with the natal Saturn, causing some stucture and authority to be foisted on her to grow and learn...probably against her will.
