In the ancient African Dagara system, Nathaniel was born in the year which represents the Earth. This seems right on for him, because even tho he's an emotional Cancer in western astrology, and a Cat in Chinese Astrology, here's where he gets his grounding, his calm exterior which makes people comfortable with him...on the screen at least. He grounds the energy for earth-starved people, but they need to learn how to do it themselves, and not dissipate his energy. He can show them by example, but shouldn't do it for them.

Astrologically, he's a Cancer with a Cancer moon, showing his folks were getting along at his birth (sun=father, moon=mother), but with Saturn nearby, maybe his Mom was a strict disciplinarian or maybe both. He has Mercury (communication) in Gemini, the communication sign....but it's hidden in the 12th house in this solar chart, so he has a quick witted, intelligent mind, but it's hidden from view. Even tho he's a Cancer, he has more planets in Fire signs. Water signs (Cancer) can either create steam with fire signs, or they can overwhelm it and put the fire out in a deluge. Fire signs are independent and enjoy doing things simply for the experience and risk sometimes, and the water energy ain't a gonna let them do that. Interestingly, in his western astrology chart, he's low on Earth signs, only having Mars in Taurus, so he attracts earth sign people to him (Virgo, Taurus, Capricorn) to compliment that lack. The Universe is always trying to balance things, so that being born in a year that ends in 5, he's an earth sign in the Dagara system, to compensate in some way for this lack.

Chinese Astrology - In the Chinese system, Nathaniel was born in the Year of the Cat, as well as the month of the Cat. It would be nice to know the time he was born, because all we have is the Cat info.

Well, we know that cats love to roam; they're kind of independent and deign to be petted by you....but then they purr. It would probably say that Nathaniel is a bit remote, maybe even shy, at the outset, but once you get to know him, watch out! There's a mushy kitten inside.

Cats are usually unsure of themselves. They feel unworthy of the attention that is paid to them. Somehow they think that one day everyone is going to find out they are not the great person others think of them and then what would happen? That's all in his mind, however, for even tho cats are continually cleaning themselves, they are, in fact, clean.
