I thought it was informative to see all the Leos coming into the limelight during the last 2 1/2 years, as Saturn went thru their sign. Now, as Saturn moves thru Virgo, let's see who gets called on the carpet. Saturn going thru your sign is akin to being able to get away with something for years, but when Saturn enters, the 'head master' in the sky finds out about it. The problem with Virgo, is that....well, I remember Linda Goodman saying in her "Sun Signs" book twenty-odd years ago, that 'the golden rule does not apply to Virgo...you don't do unto her what she does un to you"...i.e., when she gives you 'constructive criticism' it's for your own good, she wants to help; but she's too sensitive to take it in return. Not all Virgos are going to take it in the chin. My sun is at 7 Virgo, and while my self confidence has been assailed, and I'm wondering just who do I think I am to be doing what I'm doing, so far the fates have been rather kind. We'll see what happens when Saturn squares itself next year.



Nick Adenhart5/3/08 - Timing, Timing, Timing.........life is all about timing. For Nick Adenhart, pitcher for the Angels, May 1, 2008, was not the date for him to debut in the major leagues. Wouldn't it be nice if sports teams had an astrologer on staff to tell them when to play players and when not to, and who fits into the chemistry of the team and who doesn't?....but I digress....Adenhart was rushed up with only 3 days rest to make his debut against the A's. Right from the start, he was walking players, and couldn't seem to find the plate.....what is his birthdate? Well, the graphics said he was the youngest person in the majors at 20, but the info on the Angels page says his birth date is August 24, 1986....so he's 21. Doesn't matter, he's a first day Virgo... His sun is at 0 of Virgo. and where is Saturn right now? At 1 of Virgo, stationary, about ready to go direct. And, to top it off he has his natal Saturn at 3 of Sag. So Saturn now is conjuncting his sun and squaring his own Saturn.......any astrologer would advise.....don't start him tonite......In his own chart, Venus (charm, magnetism) trined his sun (shine) today, and the sun trines his Mars (sports) tomorrow, which normally would be good. but that ol' Saturn, about to go direct, and squaring itself, was just too overpowering. ...Fortunately, he does have Pluto (power) trining his Venus (magnetism, luck, money) on a long range transit, so when he regroups, it should be better down the road.


4/1/08 - Three Virgos are amongst the 12 finalists of American Idol this season.... Ramiele Malubay, born on Sept 6, 1987, Chikezie, born September 11, 1985, and Carly Smithson, born on September 12, 1983. All 3 dates place their sun sign around the middle degrees of Virgo, and Saturn is at 2 degrees of Virgo right now, 4/1/08.....but Saturn is still showing that these Virgos are being held to a higher standard. Linda Goodman said many years ago that 'the golden rules does not apply to Virgo', they give constructive criticism to help, but don't take it that way in return....criticism is hard for Virgos who try so hard to be perfectionists. To get up there and sing your heart out, and then get royally dumped on, isn't good for Virgo.....I applaud them returning every week. I thought Chikezie should have been around for a few more weeks but Saturn gave him the boot. Time will tell how the other Virgos fare.
      4/3/08 - Well, the 2nd Virgo bites the dust. Not that a Virgo couldn't win during Saturn in Virgo, but it makes it that much harder. They should wait a couple of years. Ramiele is gone now too, and the third, Carly Smithson got a literal dressing down from Simon, saying her outfit was hideous....and yet the next day apologized, saying he "was just trying to help".....could this Libra have Virgo rising? Virgos do want to help, and do wonder why their 'constructive criticism' is misconstrued. If he does have Virgo rising, it's one of the most strident of all.
     4/12/08 - Virgo Carly barely made it, but Michael Johns, while not a Virgo, born Oct 20, 1978 in Perth Australia, is in his Saturn return, with his natal Saturn at 10 degrees of Virgo, and they will conjunct in August........so Saturn tests, yet Uranus is in the wings to bring him some good things in this next year. I was shocked that he was voted off. While not my favorite (maybe because of the Saturn vibes) I still thought he was the 'whole package' and was a dark horse to win it all. Hopefully he had enough exposure to take it to the top.
     4/24/08 - Carly Smithson was the third virgo to leave American Idol. People were surprised that Brooke and Jason were still there and she left....but that's Saturn for you. Carly made her mark tho, she'll be in the tour, and she'll grow a lot from the experience....and I always say it may be the best thing not to win, because the winner is tied to American Idol so tightly at the beginning.


2/12/08 - There are two Virgos running for the presidency - John McCain, born August 29, 1936, at 9:00 am in Panama, and Mike Huckabee, born August 24, 1955 in Hope, Arkansas. Mike's sun sign is at 0 degrees of Virgo, so Saturn has passed it and won't be back. McCain, tho, has his sun at 6 degrees of Virgo, and Saturn is sitting on his sun sign, now, as he gets the normination, and will do so again on July 16th. I was wondering what was the Saturn Effect here, and then as a sort of back lash to McCain's "annointment," Huckabee won some more primaries. Remember, Saturn only goes over Huckabee's sun once, and it is passed; Saturn is sitting on McCain's sun right now. How it expresses depends on if you are the Saturnor or the Saturnee.......Saturn can manifest when you are the Saturnor...... when you get kicked the teeth is when you are the recipient and the Saturnee! ...as Pluto moves in to Capricorn, Saturn may have sat on Huckabee's sun in late 2007, but Pluto is now trining his sun, which is why he's doing as well as he is.
     2/22/08 - Well, Saturn had to do it's thing, didn't it? Just couldn't let McCain get the nomination over its energy. The New York Times published an article that McCain had a relationship with a female lobbyist during the first election and speculated that he gave her and her companies, favors....going directly against his public stance against it. Saturn is rules and regulations, and it doesn't look kindly on the rules being ignored perhaps. ...It occurred just as we had a lunar eclipse, with the moon conjuncting Saturn.....bringing the planet and it's energy into the forefront.


1/08/08 Dr. Phil McGraw saw Saturn step on his toes, when he tried to step into the Britney Spears arena. He was widely criticized for trying to put it on his show, not just assist the troubled star. Dr. Phil was born on September 1, 1950 at 7:15 pm, cst, in Vinita, Oklahoma. He has his sun at 9 degrees of Virgo, and Saturn was at 8 degrees when this happened. Virgos want to help; it is the sign of service, after all....but at times their help can be looked upon as interference or a sense that they are superior. They mean well, but need to take a look at how they are perceived. ....as an aside, Uranus is about to enter his first house, just as Pluto moves in to trine his Moon in Taurus and Sun in Virgo....a grand trine from Capricorn.....big changes are on the horizon for Dr Phil in the next few years.


11/17/07 - Bernard Kerik, pal of Rudy Giuliani's, is causing some concern in the Giuliani camp, I imagine. Leo Judith Regan (she of the O.J. Simpson book) has just filed a $100 million lawsuit against News Corporation whom she allegedly accuses of telling her to lie about her lover, Kerik, to protect Giuliani. Kerik was born on September 4, 1955 in Newark, New Jersey. His Pluto is at the end of Leo, and Mars is at 5 of Virgo, so Saturn went over Pluto and recently, Mars. In the solar chart, it's in the 12th house of the hidden, so power and control behind the scenes. And when Saturn goes over Pluto, abuse of power is brought to light. When the Master Yod points goes over Uranus at 0 of Leo at some point in the next couple of years, his fortunes will change dramatically, one way or another.


11/6/07 - If you're a Virgo, it might be wise to wait a couple of years before debuting a new project. Jerry Seinfeld, born April 29, 1954, in Brooklyn New York, has just released an animated film that he has his hands all over - writer, producer, actor - and yet it hasn't met with universal appeal. Now, Jerry's a Taurus, but in his IMDB bio it says his trademark is "Impeccable neatness, unflappable confidence".....hmmm....what sign does that remind you of? How about Virgo? Might he be Virgo rising, or late Leo, which would put Pluto around the ascendant??? That would work. The movie, 'Bee" kind of looks like Jerry, and the woman looks like his wife, Jessica, who is a Virgo. She, in fact, just published a cook book on healthy recipes for children and she got some hassle for it. Jessica, born September 12, 1971 in Oyster Bay, New York, found Saturn on her Mercury in the last month. Another author claimed she stoled the healthy kids' recipes from her. Accurate or no, a time for positive reinforcement was met with challenge. She was on Regis Philbin's show, making a recipe with Regis, and was pretty snippy with him. One wasn't sure whether she was just messing with his head for comedic purposes, or was serious. Anyway, Virgos aren's Leos, and need to be sure they telegraph their comedy as such.


Oprah11/6/07 - On the surface, it might seem odd that Oprah Winfrey, who has admitted to being molested in some form in her childhood, and has been in the vanguard of women's rights, would allegedly discover impropriety in her school in S. Africa. Not really. Oprah was born on January 29, 1954 at 7:50 pm CSt in Kosclusko, Mississippi, with Virgo rising, and Saturn close to her ascendant now. Planets are forever recycling the natal placements....and anything "re" has to do with Pluto, right? ....transformation, transcendance....So, what has a 50 year orbit? Chiron. At 2 years old, Chiron was conjuncting her sun and Venus and squaring Saturn. Chiron seems to have a connection to child abuse when it's connected to Saturn and Pluto. So, here we are, 50 years later. Last year, Chiron did the same dance, conjuncting Sun/Venus and squaring Saturn - and did so again earlier this year - while Saturn, now in the 12th house of the hidden, was now squaring itself and conjuncted Pluto on Jan 14th......Chiron reopens the wound and Saturn becomes the 'head mistress' who raps our knuckles. Oprah is now seeing this abuse from a different perspective, with grown up eyes, for her healing, and now being in a position to make sure this doesn't happen again. She was powerless as a child, now she's in power to make it right.


Bill O'Reilly9/30/07 - Well, it didn't take Saturn long, after moving in to Virgo to take its first casualty.....Bill O'Reilly. Born on September 10, 1949 in New York city, this conservative talk show host took foot and inserted it in mouth, after accompanying Al Sharpton to a black restaurant and finding it no different than a white restaurant......just as with Saturn in Leo, what these people used to get away with, Saturn - in the form of the public - jumps on them. They tend to go just a bit further than they usually do, and Saturn seizes the opportunity to pull them up short.
      2/21/08 - O'Reilly inserts foot in mouth again and talks about "not lynching Michelle Obama" unless information comes in to the contrary and had to apologize....and he lost his Friday show in the process, being replaced by Tony Snow......oh, how Virgos hate to be caught up short.....have to be right...hate to be wrong...and have to have the last word. O'Reilly will somehow have the last word in this.
