-3/28/08 -Tommy we hardly know ye.........Our beloved Tom Hanks was on David Letterman's show around the beginning of March, and made some remark that if he didn't get what he wanted he'd "drop the H Bomb on 'em"....."The H Bomb?" Letterman queried? "I'm Tom Hanks and I can do anything I want to." .....oooooooooooooh......Tommy.....Happy go lucky Tom Hanks..."Sleepless in Seattle" Tom Hanks, ..."Big" Tom Hanks,... "Turner and Hooch" Tom Hanks........1956 Monkey with Saturn square Pluto Tom Hanks. The 1956 Monkey is a very formidable character. Monkeys are formidable people to begin with.....needing control, full of dogma at times....and then in 56 Saturn squared Pluto, the first hard aspect after the conjunction in Leo in 47. There was someone in Tom's young life, who was strict and perhaps dictatorial, and then when he hit his Pluto square, of evolution and soul's growth in1993-94 Pluto was conjuncting the Saturn point as it squared itself.......one of the hardest S/P transits.....he went thru a heavy duty soul's growth time. So, happy go lucky Tom hasn't had it that easy, and now, as a movie mogul, hob nobbing with Steven Spielberg and the like, the full power of that Monkey S/P combination has expressed itself "I'm Tom Hanks and I can do anything I want to". ......and yet, we still see glimpses of the Tommy that we've grown to love over the years.

11/23/07 - Shocking news, that former A's pitcher, and last with the Toronto Blue Jays, Joe Kennedy, died this morning. It was reported that he passed out and didn't recover. Born on May 24, 1979 in La Mesa, California, Joe was called "Papa Kennedy" by the A's players, in reference to JFK's patriarch father, Joe Kennedy. Joe was born in Gemini, but he had 5 planets in Taurus. 2007 wasn't a good year for Joe (we were at the Coliseum for one of his last appearances in Oakland). This was his Saturn return, on November 11th to be exact, and while Saturn was going thru Leo the past 2+ years, of course it squared all his Taurus planets. It squared his Sun in Sept, squared his Saturn on Nov 11th, and .....it was complete. In the coming year, Saturn would move to trine all his Taurus planets, Pluto, moving into Capricorn would trine all those Taurus planets as well. The Master Yod would go over Jupiter in a year or so, and the luck he so richly deserved would have undoubtedly been his. So sad to lose such a fine young man in the prime of life with everything positive before him.
          When we look at his chart with the Chinese overlay, Saturn was in the Heart meridian at birth, and of course, Saturn had come full circle and was back there. Pluto was just about to move into his 8th house (which doesn't always portend death) but it was moving into the Boar/Triple Warmer in the overlay where depression is more prevalant, and being Capricorn, it tied it to the Heart meridian. There hasn't been a clear statement of why he died, but passing out like that, would probably mean heart issues on some level.
          All his Taurus planets were in the Tiger/Lung meridian, and one of the emotions that responds to Lung is pride. He had a lot of pride that was pummeled in the last year or so, and everything was on the horizon for him to really get that recognition and admiration he so needed....this is where an astrologer could have given him faith for the future.
          I don't have Saturn in the Heart meridian, but when it squares itself, it squares from the heart, and one time as the square was occuring, I got very disciplined, got an exercise machine, and did a double dose one day........and felt very very weird that night...I probably stressed my heart somehow. So, it just says that during a stressful Saturn transit it's better to just take it easy and not try to change the world til it passes.

11/6/07 - On the surface, it might seem odd that Oprah Winfrey, who has admitted to being molested in some form in her childhood, and has been in the vanguard of women's rights, would allegedly discover impropriety in her school in S. Africa. Not really. Oprah was born on January 29, 1954 at 7:50 pm CSt in Kosclusko, Mississippi. Planets are forever recycling the natal placements....and anything "re" has to do with Pluto, right? ....transformation, transcendance....So, what has a 50 year orbit? Chiron. At 2 years old, Chiron was conjuncting her sun and Venus and squaring Saturn. Chiron seems to have a connection to child abuse when it's connected to Saturn and Pluto. So, here we are, 50 years later. Last year, Chiron did the same dance, conjuncting Sun/Venus and squaring Saturn - and did so again earlier this year - while Saturn, now in the 12th house of the hidden, was now squaring itself and conjuncted Pluto on Jan 14th......Chiron reopens the wound and Saturn becomes the 'head mistress' who raps our knuckles. Oprah is now seeing this abuse from a different perspective, with grown up eyes, for her healing, and now being in a position to make sure this doesn't happen again. She was powerless as a child, now she's in power to make it right. Saturn is on the cusp of her Virgo rising, so shows how the emphasis has shifted from Leo personalities to Virgo.

10/18/07 - Yankee Manager, Joe Torre, refused a one year contract with the team and thus his tenure is over. Torre was born on July 18, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York. Currently, Pluto goes thru a sign in 12 years. We also have the Master Yod between Neptune and Pluto shooting down its energy to Cancer. The planet it last conjuncted is telling. Around 1996, as he was assuming the helm of the Yankees, the power point went over Venus in Gemini. This started a time where he was in the public eye and admired. Now, 12 years later, the power point has recently gone over his Chiron placement, bringing the wounding or trauma into the spotlight. the energy has shifted. Shortly, it will move over his sun, and that should bring him back into prominence if should choose to. He was born in the Year of the Dragon, and there's an element of him that enjoys the attention. His sun is at 25 of Cancer, and he has Mercury, Pluto and Mars in Leo, so Saturn's trek thru Leo in the past couple of years saw the challenges of being at the helm, now as it goes into Virgo, it will be affecting his money house....and he turned down a reduction in pay and a one year contract.

9/30/07 - Well, it didn't take Saturn long, after moving in to Virgo to take its first casualty.....Bill O'Reilly. Born on September 10, 1949 in New York city, this conservative talk show host took foot and inserted it in mouth, after accompanying Al Sharpton to a black restaurant and finding it no different than a white restaurant......just as with Saturn in Leo, what these people used to get away with, Saturn - in the form of the public - jumps on them. They tend to go just a bit further than they usually do, and Saturn seizes the opportunity to pull them up short.

9/23/07 - Dallas Braden - left hand pitcher for the Oakland A's.....he was called up in April and got his first win.....in 14 attempts he hasn't won his second game yet. He's been sent down and called up, sent down and called up, over and over. It shows that it's important when you're called up to the big leagues. The A's know he's a better pitcher than that. It seems like they've pushed him before his time. Dallas was born on August 13th, 1983, in Phoenix, Ax. Well, he had the Saturn hex in Leo to begin with....Saturn went back and forth over his Sun. He's been used to accolades in Triple A....hard to come up and play in the big leagues with everyone Saturn-scrutinizing every move you make, looking for things to gripe about. Now, as we get to the end of the baseball year, Saturn is moving in to his Venus as 7 of Virgo (Now I know why I like him - 7 of Virgo is where my sun is - one's sun to another's venus is a positive combination), so Saturn isn't going to let up this year. On the opposite side, was Neptune, pulling the rug out from under him. The Sat/Nep opposition was stressing his Sun, so judgement/dissolve, judgement/dissolve, judgement/dissolve..... hard to be a consistent pitcher under those circumstances!

Dallas' story is sad but neat at the same time. He and his mom had a dream of Dallas playing in the big leagues. Unfortunately, she died in his teens. When he got the call in April to come up to the A's, he called his grandmother, told her his good news, and said he wanted her in the stands. As the story was told (or as I recall!) she demurred saying she couldn't possibly get there by the next day. Dallas is reported to have said, "Grandma, I'm pitching in the big leagues tomorrow, and you're going to be there to watch me".....and she was.....that story gets me every time.

Next year, Dallas' chart looks far more positive for a successful year. Oh, Saturn works it's way all the way back to 7 of Virgo, but other than that, he's got better stuff going for him next year. Way to go Dallas. Hopefully the fates of the A's will be better next year to give you some better support, too!

8/20/07 - Michael Vick - I can hardly think of an act more heinous than dogfighting for sport. Michael Vick, quarterback of the Atlanta Falcons, who is prepared to plead guilty for his actions, is connected with this activity.....talk about sabotaging a brilliant career...Gambling alone is a no no in pro sports. Michael Vick was born on June 26, 1980 in Newport News, Virginia. A sensitive Cancerian participating in something so awful??? Well, Cancerians find they need to toughen themselves up in order to survive sometimes...they abandon who they innately are, in order to be something they are't. He has a Sag moon, and I wonder if we gave him a rising sign between 7-9 pm it would give us any clue, as those are the hours of the Dog in Chinese Astrology.....maybe because Cancer equates to the Cat in Chinese astrology, he has a natural antipathy to them.....just an odd observation. Actually, he has Saturn and Mars conjunct in Virgo, which gives him a militaristic focus, and in Virgo, it adds even more spit and polish and no room for mistakes. They sextile Uranus in Scorpio. Now we may look at Uranus as the planet which brings us sudden new developments, and energy that is eclectic, but in its worst it is the 'outlaw' and precipitates violence. Being in Scorpio it adds an element of domination to it. Then, right in the middle, we have Scorpio's ruler, Pluto, in Libra, as the trigger of the YOD, which shoots the energy up to Aries...which ties it to Mars....Mars is great for sports, and he should have stuck with his pro football career ....Pallas Athene is there, close to the apex of the YOD; not exactly sure how that figures into the scheme of things, but the players in the YOD surely create an element of dysfunction that could create such a dastardly path. Saturn sextiled Uranus with Pluto as the trigger for the YOD for a spell there in 1980, so while all don't go the negative way, it's something to look at, and be aware of in relationships, particularly as these people will be hitting their Saturn Square in a couple of years, triggering this all off again.

8/1/07 - Minneapolis Bridge Collapses - I've always wondered why a certain part of the world is affected by a celestial aspect. The collapse of this bridge sent me to the computer and my Times-Cycles software.....Minneapolis is 93w15 longitude, or 3 of Cancer. With Saturn trining Pluto on 8/6, and Mars ticking it off the 31st and 1st (squaring Saturn, inconjuncting Pluto) if we do some quick math here.....The midpoint of Mars and Saturn (Mars at 26 of Taurus or 56 on the 360 wheel - Saturn at 26 of Leo or 146) is 101, or 11 of Cancer. If we take Pluto into effect and get a midpoint of the 3 (Pluto at 26 of Sag or 266) the midpoint is 276 or 6 of Capricorn.....directly opposite, almost and near where Pluto actually is (146+266+56+360 divided by 3=276)(360 is added since Mars is in early degrees technically). So, the midpoint of Mars-Saturn is 11 of Cancer, and Pluto is moving into to the sort of YOD point (power point) of the square. If we look at the chart for that moment, Pluto is on the ascendant.
      So we have Mars which represents cars, Saturn which is structure, Pluto, which could be the train underneath vibrating as well as the REpair of the bridge and the jackhammers (Pluto rules "re" words and their manifestation; ie repair, remodel, etc., as well as corporate greed and shortcutting original building perhaps). Then we have the vibration....that would come from Uranus, perhaps, at 18 of Pisces...at the midpoint between Pluto and Mars, which is.....11 of Pisces or 341. And the midpoint of Mars and Saturn was 11 of Cancer....pretty close to 93w15 or 3 of Cancer.
     Saturn and Pluto are still in trine, so somehow this has a silver lining. A bridge is the symbol of crossing to a new level of consciousness, of change, of leaving an old form of structure behind and embarking on something new. This was breaking the old structure and form so something new (Uranus vibration) could start. It also broke the connection from east to west. (See longer article, Saturn Trines Pluto)

7/30/07 - Supreme Court Justice John Roberts was reported to have had an idiopathic seizure today, days before Saturn trines Pluto. It was reported he had a similar incident 14 years ago. Which planet has 14+ year cycles??? Saturn. It circles the zodiac in 29+ years, hence it opposes itself, half way 14+ years after the return. Roberts was born on January 27, 1955 in Buffalo, New York. Natally, he had Saturn in Scorpio moving in to square Pluto in Leo. In the Chinese overlay, Saturn is in the Ox/Liver meridian and Pluto is in the Rooster/kidney meridian. Fourteen years ago, in 1993, Roberts had a very stressful year. Pluto was having its Pluto square - a very roto rootering time in one's life. At the same time Saturn was squaring Saturn from Aquarius, while Chiron was squaring Saturn from the other side, in Leo, conjuncting Pluto. Chiron was also opposing Mercury, while Saturn was opposing Pluto and conjuncting Mercury in Aquarius. In 1994 Uranus opposed Uranus....a sidelight, perhaps but brings up unstable electrical energy, and is important in its own right, because, as an Aquarian, it's his ruling planet. So, while brain issues come up in the heart meridian in the Chinese interpretation, without that, it would seem there was stress, and Mercury being in Aquarius natally, with Saturn and Chiron opposing each other in the sky, conjuncting and opposing the natal Mercury opposing Pluto conversely, it would put stress on the highly susceptible mental/metal/air energy, giving it an unstable electrical quality. Now, in 2007, Saturn squares itself again from the other side, in Leo, and conjuncts Pluto on Aug 2nd, while opposing Mercury. And Neptune's in there squaring Saturn - about 1/2 way between Roberts' Sun and Mercury - from the other side, as the Sat/Nep opposition starts to separate. Early in Roberts' life, Saturn moved in to square Pluto (and in actuality, Saturn and Pluto squared in the sky in 1956). Rooster/Kidney is part of the Heart Pattern, so brings it into the picture. When Saturn, Chiron and Pluto aspect one planet, they cause trauma and indelible experiences which manifest every 7+ years when Saturn aspects itself....begging us to see, in physical manifestation, what's happening on the emotional level; something with which we haven't dealt.

7/21/07 - Scott Baio is 45 and Single..... why? Scott Baio is doing a documentary to see why he is still single, after being a hunk and dating some of the most beautiful women in the world. Let's take a quick look at his chart. Scott was born on September 22, 1961 in Brooklyn, New York. He has a late, late, late, Virgo sun, with an early, early, early Pisces moon. He was born in the Year of the Ox, and the month of the.....Horse, obstensibly, being he's right on the cusp of Libra. The Ox has given him money and a cushy lifestyle, but the Horse in him wants to be coupled....Why isn't he? Well, he has Venus conjunct Uranus to begin with. This aspect runs the gamut from someone heterosexual, who can't do commitment, who prefers to play the field and doesn't want to get into the rut of relationship, to the opposite end of being gay. ....and in between somewhere is just being lucky. Venus, to me, is the Self in the chart, and here, even tho Virgo/Libra wants a relationship...even if the Horse wants a relationship, that Self/Venus, conjuncting Uranus, wants to keep it loose, enjoys being in the group rather than a one to one relationship. Mercury and Mars together in Libra may cause him to be caustic in his communication....and even tho Pluto is almost a sign away from the Sun, it still is the last planet from the Sun at birth, and the first one Pluto conjuncts, albeit in and around 1970-71. Sun and Pluto makes the sun stronger, more in charge....and didn't he star in "Charles in Charge"? That's something that just comes naturally. This year, as Jupiter meets up with Pluto at the end of Sag in December, these two planets are trining his Venus/Uranus conjunction.....in his solar 11th house....of career mone and the darling of the masses....this program is sure to bring in something positive and recharge his career.

7/11/07 - Sara Taylor, Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of Political Affairs at the White House, who reported directly to Karl Rove, was born on September 15 1974, probably in Iowa, as her father, Ray Taylor, is a former Iowa state rep. On September 11, 2007, she is appearing before the Senate committee, being interrogated by Sen. Patrick Leahy. I expected to see a Pluto transit (speaking truth to power) but that doesn't seem to be the case. It looks like the end of Saturn opposite Neptune aspect...the senate seeking to bring into manifestation what Neptune has been nefariously trying to hide. Saturn and Pluto hate lying....principally because they can't control a situation if they don't know what's going on. Neptune is very good at creating a mirage. The Master Yod (Nep sextile Pluto) is pointing at late degrees of Cancer, and recently went over her Saturn, and will be bouncing off that energy for quite awhile; life is real, Saturn is taking her to task and will be watching for some time. On this date, the Sun is conjuncting her Saturn, bringing her into the limelight. There is one Pluto aspect, which is sextiling Uranus, which could trigger a sudden revelation, and it is a Yod on it's own, pointing at Taurus. Mars is nearby altho the yod point has moved beyond it. Actually, Mars is going to be squared by Pluto next year, so it is moving in; but this seems to be a little early. I have a mid point system that I derived that might show something else, but it has to be done by hand, so I don't do that unless it's important to track down something important. She said she is willing to speak if the president lets her, so if that goes til next year, the Pluto/Mars aspect will come in to play.

6/8/07 - Paris Hilton went back to jail, today. She had been let out for psychological reasons which infuriated the judge who ordered her back to the pokie. Paris was born on February 17, 1981 in New York City. The theme song of Aquarians is "Don't Fence Me In" under the best of circumstances....don't put her in a cell that's smaller than her clothes closet!! Why is Paris being a pawn in this power struggle between the judge and the sheriff? Celebrities are often archetypes, like Greek or Roman Gods and Goddesses. They show us specific personality traits of the populace much like the gods did. As I was listening to the sheriff, the real reason for this hoopla became evident - he said that there are too many people with mental problems in the over crowded jail system, and they need a mental health judge with expertise to know how to treat these people, in contrast to felons. As an Aquarian, the sign of the collective consciousness, an air sign, ruled by Uranus which brings things to light, Paris has brought the hidden problem mental illness in the jail system to light. Maybe that's what her life has been all about; brought to this point in time to bring reform, and only a celebrity of her magnitude could have done it. So, Paris, while you are criticized and picked on for being vain and haven't had to get your finger nails dirty, you may have been chosen by destiny to aid those less fortunate than yourself.

Paris is having her Chiron square - at the latest point it can occur in its irregular orbit. The first square of Chiron is often a deep wounding. Currently Chiron is near Neptune and part of the Neptune-Saturn opposition as it flings the last lash of the dragon's tail at the end of June when it starts to separate. Saturn is the judge who's saying 'she will obey the rules!' and she's a Neptunian person who tried to get away with something when Uranus was bouncing off her Mars (speed and cars).

5/22/07 - Jordin Sparks or Blake Lewis????? Our American Idol 2007 will be crowned tonite - who has the stars on their side? It probably doesn't make much difference who the winner is, Jordin Sparks will be a star no matter what. Jordin, born December 22, 1989 in Staten Island New York, has Uranus trine Pluto - sudden power, Saturn trine the Sun and Uranus this year (a nice grand trine - hard work pays off) and at the end of the year she has Jupiter (luck) conjunct her Capricorn sun. Along with those positives, Pluto (power and prestige) is moving in to Capricorn at the end of the year, and next year will conjunct her sun - diamond making time. She's sure to win, whether she's America's Idol or not.

Blake Lewis, on the other hand, born July 21, 1981 in Bothell, Washington, has Pluto trining his Venus (power conferred with luck and magnetic attraction) while Saturn (authority) is moving in to conjunct Venus; the power of the Saturn/Pluto trine incorporating his Venus...that could pull him into power and stardom. Normally, Saturn on Venus might deny fame, but with the trine to Pluto, it might help manifest it. Uranus in Pisces is also near his Pisces moon (sudden fame?) The other indication is that the master YOD of Neptune sextile Pluto is directing it's power point at the end of Cancer, and Blake's Sun sign is 28 degrees of Cancer - so that could point to the winner.

4/29/07 - Mars conjuncted Uranus in the sky at 17 degrees of Pisces this morning....not good for driving at this time if you have planets tapping in to it. Actually, it was a T square, to Jupiter and Venus. Josh Hancock, relief pitcher for the St Louis Cardinals, was killed last night. He was born on April 11, 1978 in Cleveland Mississippi. He was 29 years old, in the midst of his Saturn return. The M/U conjunction was close to an inconjunct to Pluto...and actually, Uranus was trining his natal Uranus, which usually brings new, exciting changes. ....but, it's the trigger of the Neptune/Pluto Master YOD, right in between the two, pointed at his first solar house. Mars rules cars, loves speed and he was an Aries, ruled by Mars. So many grieving parents these days, losing their sons and daughters, in the military and out of it.

4/27/07- I am appalled that "The View", today, would give Alec Baldwin a forum to extend his manipulation. The rant to his daughter was the truth of who he is. Bullies - and he is a bully - do this. They pull rank and are control freaks, and then when they are 'outed' they play "poor me". Now he is on tv being logical, linear, and cool, creating a picture he wants the public to see in the public eye - but I would assume Kim Basinger's comments about his irrational behavior is more to the truth....and was certainly evident on that famous phone call. No one should ever talk to their child that way; there is no excuse for it.
4/20/07 Alec Baldwin reveals his true self. Today, you probably heard Alec Baldwin's rant to his poor little girl, leaving a scathing message on her phone...if this doesn't get Kim Basinger full custody I don't know what will. If my husband had spoken to any of our children in that manner....well, you can finish that sentence on your own. Alec (as in "Smart Alec"?) was born April 3, 1958 (some say the 8th) in Massapequa, New York. He has an Aries sun, Mercury and 2 asteroids in Taurus. Taurus, in its negative expression, treats people as possessions. Mercury in Taurus alone wouldn't necessarily create this; but it's planet, Venus, opposing Pluto, brings in an element of jealous possessiveness. It's been obvious for some time that this little girl was in a tug-of-war and she was a possession to him. What triggered this rant? Well, his Mars is in Aquarius which should temper it a bit, but in the sky Mars was moving in on Uranus (Aquarius' ruler) which always creates some impulsive action....and Saturn was stationary about ready to go direct....the most potent point of energy. This was certainly a Saturninan conditional father, laying down the law...and not caring about her at all. You can tell by his rant that he's a control freak, because they hate answering machines and voice mail where the person on the other end has the power to speak with them or not. Normally, Mars in Aquarius is more cerebral, but when we put the Chinese overlay on it, Mars is in the Rat/Ox (Gall Bladder/Liver) area, and Mars is going to keep the Liver irritated and it's even more likely to blow off steam. If Mars was out of the Rat/Ox area, it might be able to keep itself under control a little better. Whatever....I hope this tirade played around the world will grant this little girl and her mother the peace they deserve.
His daughter, born October 23, 1995, a double Libra little girl, who undoubtedly wants peace more than anything, has Uranus in Pisces moving in to conjunct her Saturn (father).....maybe this rant will be the Uranus catalyst to make some big changes in her life. She's reaching the ag of 12 this year, and unless things have changed that's the age where she can make her own decisions about seeing him or not. ....Maybe that's why he had 'freudian slip' saying she was 12 and then backed it to 11....like it was on his mind he only has less than a year of control left. 4/24/07 - Now he's into control mode. That's what "Plutonians" do. They bully and force their way on people and then when it backfires on them they go in to "poor me".

4/12/07 update: What happened in the last two days? Now Don Imus has been fired by everyone and anyone. To be a shock jock - that's Uranus. Looking at the chart, tho, Pluto, now at the end of Sag is opposing his Venus in Gemini (recycling power trips from childhood), and is at the apex of the Yod between Uranus in Taurus sextiling Chiron/Mercury in Cancer/Sun/Pluto/Mars in Leo with Venus being the trigger in the middle in Gemini. ....I'm wondering if this time is accurate, because it shows Saturn now in the 9th and Neptune in the 3rd, both on the cusps of the next houses - 10th=career, and 4th = foundation. It would seem more appropriate for them to be in the latter signs, showing authority getting on him in his career, and Neptune in the 4th, wiping out his foundation.
While his comments were extremely inappropriate - isn't that what he's known for? Looks like he's recycling some deep personal wounds for healing. Reminds me of Barry Bonds. The corporate guys look the other way while their boys (Barry's a Leo, too) are bringing them in tons of money, and then with this Saturn/Neptune opposition, there is a hue and cry over a recent incident even tho it's what they've been doing for years, and the bottom line - advertising dollars pull out - then the boss' get all full of morality. Let's do it all the time, not just when the dollars are slipping thru your fingers. Bill Maher, on Scarborough Country was the sane man in the bunch. 4/09/07 - If you're a Leo it doesn't pay to talk 'off the cuff' these days. Don Imus, who's known for his ascerbic, sarcastic wit, has been chastized and taken off the air for two weeks for making comments about a women's sports team. Even tho he was born on July 23, 1940, in Riverside, California, at the beginning of Leo, he got the Saturn kibash. His progressed moon is in late Leo. To begin with, #1, Leos don't like Saturn to sit on their magnanimity and be squelched and #2, during this phase of Saturn going thru Leo, they may be 'lording it over' us on the other end. Whichever, the Saturn authority energy is 'hearing' stuff it normally might not pay attention to, and taking Leos down. It also has a little of the Saturn/Neptune opposition; Neptune has some aspects of entertaining as does Leo. Hold on! Saturn moves into Virgo in August....and Virgos know how to work with the energy better!

2/08/07 - If you're an astronaut, somewhat in the public eye, you've got to feel you aren't going to get away with trying to whack your perceived rival! Lisa Nowak, who's previous claim to fame was being on the last trip into space, somehow let her emotions get away from her. Lisa, born May 10, 1963 in Washington, D.C. has relatively no air signs in her chart. Mercury is in Gemini, but Saturn sits on Aquarius, trying to keep it finite while it strives to be infinite. When there is little or no air in a chart, one acts from emotion, not rationale. We don't know her rising, but here again, the Saturn/Neptune opposition in the sky is at work. Saturn has recently conjuncted Mars (and now in retrograde is headed back in that direction). Saturn would sit on her natural exuberant expression, and Neptune is now opposing it; perhaps making her feel powerless. She also has Saturn squaring her sun, and Saturn moving in to oppose itself. Lots of judgement and making up ones own rules and regulations. Saturn opposing itself, would suggest she would need to go back to the last conjunction when she was about 29 (around 1993) to see what is recycling. (Sorry, Scorps, but one would almost have to feel that she has Scorpio rising or Pluto in the first house....yet, the Taurus sun sign is very possessive, too.)

1/01/07 - We woke up to a new year to hear that during the night, Darrent Williams, cornerback for the Denver Broncos was shot and killed. He was born Sept 27, 1982, in Fort Worth, Texas. He was born when Saturn was moving in to conjunct Pluto in Libra, which is in his first solar house....This says his childhood was probably not a happy place. It's part of the "Master Yod" with Neptune that shoots its energy over to Chiron in Taurus; a major wounding. And, Uranus conjuncts Mars at the beginning of Sag, which is inbetween Pluto/Neptune and thus becomes the trigger, or the 'arrow' shooting the Yod energy over to Chiron. Right now, Pluto is at 27 degrees of Sag, conjuncting Neptune, ticking off that whole Yod process. 12/28/06 - It was announced today, that Barry Zito has signed a $126 million dollar contract with the San Francisco Giants. Zito, who was born on May 13, 1978, in Las Vegas, Nevada, becomes one of only a handful of players to get a contract in excess of $100 million. Not bad for this Taurus native, as the Moon in Aries moved in to a grand trine with Saturn trine Pluto. Taureans love money and possessions, and usually have someone who makes sure that happens. In his solar chart, this trine is in his 4th, 8th and 12th houses.....foundation/roots (sure to solidify his home life)....8th house of power....12th house of hidden resources. But, as I wrote for January 07, the fire sign people, Aries, Leo, Sag, are in line for big sports contracts, so we can speculate that Barry has one of those as his rising sign. Leo rising would see natal Mars there, which is good for an athlete, and yet natal Saturn there as well to make it sober and help his timing. Sag rising would have natal Neptune in the 1st, and he seems to be the spiritual guy and loves music. Pluto then, would be in the first, to bring him into power.

11/20/06-First it was Leo, Isaiah Washington losing his cool on the Grey's Anatomy set, then today it was revealed that Leo Michael Richards ("Kramer" on "Seinfeld") went into a rant during a comedy set at a comedy club. Michael was born on....well, it's reported as July 24, 1949 in Culver City. But Times Cycles Research lists July 21, 1948 in Los Angeles. The latter date shows his Saturn is at 22 degrees of Leo and Saturn is now at 24 degrees. His second Saturn return could very well trigger such an outburst. Saturn is imploding the natural exuberance of Leo and they're chafing at the energy. If Michael was born in 1948, then he was conceived just after the Saturn/Pluto conjunction in '47, he could have felt the high intensity energy going on all around him. And then, Pluto conjuncted his Saturn in the early 50's which would have left an indelible mark. He may very well have been reacting to subconscious patterns of the past. It is showing us, that Leos are exploding' expressing energy they normally wouldn't when their expansive personalities get to express themselves.

10/28/06-The flareup on the "Grey's Anatomy" set is a perfect demonstration of the current Saturn-Neptune opposition, now with the added emphasis of planets moving into Scorpio, creating a T square, or even more stressful position. 10/17/06- Oakland A's manager, Ken Macha got unceremoniously fired from the team yesterday, a scant few days after losing the Am league championship to the Detroit Tigers. Interestingly, Ken, a Libra and an air sign, born Sept 29, 1950, was accused by some on the team as not being communicative - heck of a rap for an air sign! The sun is in wide orb to Neptune, so maybe that's why it was kept under wraps for so long. I did suggest under Joe Blanton's mention that the two had a stressful chart, but that must have been common in other players' charts as well. Can't imagine why he wouldn't talk with Adam Melhuse! Macha has a Taurus moon, with 3 planets in Virgo. I'm wondering if he has a Cancer/Leo or late Leo/Virgo rising, because he does have a bent for performing as witness the radio spots and tv ads he has done for the team as well as products. Unfortunately for Ken, Saturn has completed visiting it's dour visage on the various degrees of Pluto as Saturn moves thru Leo and over the natal Pluto degrees for those born in the 1940's, and now starts in on those born in the 50's. He also has Pluto squaring his Venus and Saturn in Virgo.....perhaps he was expressing the control and implosion of the square and then Saturn came along to conjunct his natal Pluto, to turn the tables on him. The fact that GM Billy Beane is known to be the ultimate manager of the team, might have had Macha feeling like he was in a vice.

10/16/06- New York Yankee pitcher, Cory Lidle died on October 11th, when the small plane he was flying flew directly into a New York sky scraper. He was born March 22, 1972 in Hollywood, California; one of a set of twins. A cursory look at his chart, show an Aries sun and Cancerian moon, with the Aries' ruler, Mars, conjuncting Saturn. Mars is sports and Saturn, of course, is judgement, so he may have been harder on himself than others. He was on 7 teams in the major leagues - was on the A's 2001-2 I think, and so it was a shock to here of this because he was one of the Oakland "family". We'd have to look more closely to see what was going on that day, but Pluto was sesquiquadrating Mars.....Pluto having death/rebirth attached to it, and Mars, being his sun sign planet, can be rash actions among other things besides sports. Jupiter is in Scorpio in the 8th house, and while we usually connote Jupiter to luck and protection, sometimes it portends 'expanding' to a higher plane. My son had a Jupiter grand trine the day he died. He, too, was born in 1972, as was Scott Peterson. When I have time I need to look at where the Boar energy was in 1972 to see if there is a connection for depression, self destruction. 1972 being the Year of the Rat, the Boar energy would be in the 12th house. It looks for sure tho, that 1972 Rats need to work on seeing life from the positive.

8/21/06 The Oakland A's are playing the Toronto Blue Jays tonite, and after the Jays go ahead 8-0, pitcher Ted Lilly (January 4, 1976, Torrrance, Ca) comes in and pretty soon its 8-5, and the manager, Joe Gibbons (June 8, 1962, Great Falls Montana) comes to take Lilly out of the game. Lilly exchanges words with Gibbons and goes into the tunnel with Gibbons following him. The tv cameras show some Jays teammates running after them, hearing an altercation. Gibbons returns, breathing heavily, with blood coming from his nose. Mars in Virgo in the sky recently squared Lilly's Mars, and his natal Saturn is at the midpoint between the two - he has his own standards from which he's not going to back down....plus Saturn in the sky isn't that far from natal Saturn, visiting it last year - so Lilly isn't going to take being lectured to by authority.
While Gibbons is a Gemini, is facade is not that of a mental Gemini; he looks like an emotional guy on the edge most of the time. He has Mars square Saturn in his chart, which aren't that close, but nothing inbetween - he too has a no nonsense approach. Saturn has recently opposed his natal Saturn (in the last year). On the surface, his western chart is not too significant of this scene, but when we put the Chinese chart over it, his Mars is in the Chinese Ox/Liver meridian. Every organ of the body responds to specific emotions and the Ox/Liver is anger and frustration....but it's of the slow buildup (like the Ox, pawing in the earth, building up steam). With Mars there, that quickening energy is going to be inciting it all the time; so it's probably hard for him to hold his temper.
In their composite chart, Lilly and Gibbons have a lot of Aries planets, with transiting Mars moving in on their combined Pluto; something was bound to explode.
Now, on the A's radio broadcast, they are saying it was Lilly's fault, because a player just doesn't do that, but with Shea Hillebrand being dealt recently to the Giants after an altercation, I would imagine that this isn't an isolated incident. Those in power should not stand up for authority simply because it's authority; they should be held to an even higher standard of conduct. If I were the owner of the Jays, Gibbons would be gone.

8/12/06 - this past week, Miguel Tejada of the Baltimore Orioles got into a flap because he allegedly gave a fan an obscene gesture going off the field. When it was reported, the picture accompanying the news item didn't look like Miggy, and the action just wasn't one he would do. I think there is another Tejada in the league somewhere and I thought it must be him (not knowing anything about the other guy). Miggy was an Oakland A for a number of years and he's still one of our own. And, what happened just isn't the Miggy we know and love. But, when Saturn sticks his nose in, anything can happen. Miguel was born on May 25, 1976 in Bani, Dominican Republic. He's actually a Gemini, but with an Aries moon and 3 planets and 2 asteroids in Taurus; he gives much more of a Taurus demeanor. So, what do we know about someone born in 1976? He's recently had his Saturn return as he turns 30. Interestingly, he has Saturn in late Cancer conjunct Mars in early Leo. That would give him a very disciplined, almost militaristic approach to life, which doesn't seem like him, but then what do I know? I just watch him on tv or from the stands. Saturn would help the discipline of Mars ruling sports, and probably help his timing.....but, right now, Miggy isn't happy the Orioles aren't winning, so with Saturn recently conjuncting itself in the last year or so, and then Mars, and still bouncing off those two, one can see that people are harder on him, and he's hard on himself, and the frustration expressed itself in a manner that isn't Miggy at all. He apologized, and I think we're all glad it's behind him.

7/27/06 - It's Alex Rodriguez' birthday today as I write this, and I've been hearing that A Rod hasn't been the hero in NY that he was in Texas and Seattle. Alex was born on July 27, 1975 in New York, interestingly enough since he's back where he started. His Leo sun is imbalanced by a sensitive Piscean moon. I say imbalanced, because while the Leo energy loves the limelight and can have a rather tough hide, the Piscean moon is very sensitive and takes things far too personally. It's a great combination for an actor, however. Reporters say that he wants to be liked and is 'on' when the camera rolls, but at other times he's hard to deal with ....similar to Leo Barry Bonds. Leos love the limelight, want to be loved....and yet disdain it at the same time. Leos love sports and kids. Sometimes you'll find a Leo who doesn't take to kids, but it's usually because he's a big kid himself and doesn't want the competition! As for ARod's lack of production on the ball field of late - when he was born, the Master Yod point (Nep sextile Pluto) was pointing between Jupiter in Aries and Mars in Taurus, a great combo for success in sports. After it passed Mars, there was really nothing in the way til lately when it's been pointing at Saturn in late degrees of Cancer. This can make it thougher for a spell, being judged harshly. He also has Neptune squaring Mars which would tend to blunt ambition, and maybe sports ability - but no one should rule ARod out, because around 2008, the YOD power point will begin to aim at his Leo sun, and then he should shine like the true Leo he is and reap the rewards!!

7/25/06 - Jason Windsor, a pitcher who had been burning up Triple A, was brought up to the A's on July 17th, one day after his 24th birthday. Jason was born July 16, 1982 in San Bernardino, California. He has a Cancerian sun, Taurus moon.....and as with all babies born around 1982-83, Saturn conjunct Pluto....this time, with Mars sandwiched inbetween. This usually means an authoritarian Plutonian somewhere in his life, and it's usually father, but doesn't have to be; it would depend on the house placement by rising time. It would say that it was not an easy childhood. .....Imagine now, that you've gotten the big break to come up to the major leagues and pitch your first game after your birthday.....and Saturn is in your solar first house. Not the best place for Saturn to be to put your best foot forward. Those in positions above you are going to be hard taskmasters and judge everything, and you're going to judge yourself even harder. Doesn't mean that he can't do well, because Saturn is a manifestor and can make it happen, but he's going to have to work hard for everything he gets. The one good thing is that Jupiter in Scorpio just conjuncted his natal Jupiter - which was probably the trigger that brought him to the big leagues. Saturn will go into his second house in September, which will lighten things, but then it goes into the 2nd house of money, so he may not get the big bucks for awhile.

6/25/06 - Antonio Perez, an infielder brought over to the A's from the Dodgers last year, has been less than scintillating at the plate. He was hitting .297 with the Dodgers last year....hitting about.068 with the A's now. He had like 30+ plate appearances before he got a hit, and the team treated him like he'd just won the world series; the A's are a good bunch of guys. Then some extended -0- streak later, he got a home run. You can see it in his face when he comes up to bat how dejected he is. Antonio was born January 26, 1980, in Bani, Dominican Republic. This year he has Saturn in the sky in Leo opposing his Sun in Aquarius; that makes you work hard for everything you get... and Pluto is squaring his Saturn, as it is for all 1980 babies. There is some strong Plutonian force imploding his energy. Plus, when you overlap the Chinese chart, S/P are in the Boar and Tiger energy, and both tend to depression; it's like an anvil is sitting on his shoulders. Somehow, all that is overshadowing Uranus opposing Jupiter, conjuncting Venus and opposing Mars, all of which should move him in new directions. All this will have moved on by next year, and he should be playing much better. He seems to be a very sincere kid who is taking this all to heart.

6/15/06 - Sean Tracey, a right handed pitcher, brought up to the majors with the Chicago White Sox on June 8th of this year, got a rude welcome to the big leagues. If memory serves me right, as I was waking up this a.m., the sports show on the radio reported: that Tracey was called in to pitch the first out, and did so......but supposedly he had been instructed to hit the guy, which he didn't.....and after, manager Ozzie Guillen ripped him to shreds...and then he was sent down to the minors. Sean was born on November 14, 1980 in Upland, California. He has Pluto conjuncting Mars all this year, which is good for power in a sports career, but it also indicates a Plutonian man who would manipulate and control...and dominate. Here's another Mars conjunct Saturn scenario (the two conjuncting in Leo on the 17th)...Mars being sports and Saturn being authority figures. In his chart, Saturn is also sesqui'ing his Mars, a minor aspect but contributes to the problem, and sextiling the natal position of Saturn, which creates the YOD and sends the energy down to transiting Uranus - kaboom! (Sean has Sun conjunct Uranus at birth, so he is more like an Aquarian than a Scorpio and probably doesn't have the innate revenge that goes with the Scorpio energy.) (Ozzie Guillen, born January 20, 1964 in Oculare Venezuela, has Sun conjunct Mars, with the Moon in Aries, so he explodes and thinks later.) Hang in there, Sean. Pluto will move off of Mars and your interaction with future managers will be much better.

6/13/06 - Ben Roethlisberger, quarter-back for the Pittsburgh Steelers, was involved in a motorcycle accident on Monday, June 12th. He reportedly, flew over his handlebars and hit the windshield of a car, causing extensive injuries. Ben was born on March 2, 1982, in Lima, Ohio. Kids born in the early 80's have Saturn and Pluto in close proximity just as the baby boomers did in the late 40's. This creates a strong personality, and indicates that he had a member of his family who could have been harsh with him as he was growing up, setting up certain behavior patterns. Ben also has Mars (assertiveness, agressiveness, sports inclined) near Sat/Pluto, giving an extra intensity to his personality. Now, we have Mars, which just entered Leo, moving in on Saturn on Saturday, 6/17. As I said on the highlights for the month, Mars rules cars, while Saturn rules cops...Mars rules muscle while Saturn rules bones....Mars rules the divine discontent that pushes us forward, while Saturn rules the authoritarian and the rules and regulations which would keep us from risking. The 'trigger' seems to be Uranus (sudden change) flirting with his Pisces sun all year. So while all of us are having our frustrations this week with Mars and Saturn, Ben's chart was charged more dramatically and played out the potential of this energy for all to see......so be careful out there! (It's also a little disconcerting, to see the blank expression on his face in this picture, for since he's a Pisces, he would have a proclivity towards depression).

6/7/06 - She's been the golden girl, but now, Julia Roberts' foray into the Broadway stage has been less than illustrious. Julia was born on October 28, 1967, at 12:16 am edt, in Atlanta, Georgia. She has a Scorpio sun, late Leo moon, and late Cancer rising. From a cursory look at her chart, with such a late Cancer ascendant, she's primarily Leo rising, and that would be where her acting interest comes from. Right now, though, Saturn is in Leo, and it's been moving thru her first house for the past year. Even tho she's loved by so many, she has less than positive reviews of her broadway appearance. Saturn is critical and judgemental, and when it's moving thru your first house it's a time of playing by the rules, and, knowing you are going to be judged sternly, you have to pay your dues....doesn't mean you can't win over those who would look at you critically; just means you have to work hard to get it. She'll be 39 this year, so she was 8 in approximately 1975 when Saturn went thru Leo last time,and some of those issues are coming up for review. She was born in the hour of the Rat, so there may be some abandonment and/or betrayal issues she has to look at again.

5/22/06 - What's with A's Manager Ken Macha and pitcher Joe Blanton? As much as I like the A's skipper, he seems to tolerate some players and be rough on others who essentially are doing the same thing. Blanton was pulled from yesterday's game after 4 innings with some not-so-nice comments from the boss. Remember, Blanton came thru strong last year after a wobbily start. Joe Blanton was born on December 11,1980 in Nashville, Tennessee. In the composite chart of Blanton and Macha, Pluto opposes Moon in Pisces and they create a T square to Mars in Sag at 23 degrees.....right about where Pluto is now....so in essence, in their relationship, Pluto is at the apex of the Tsquare (major stress). Blanton might be better off being traded to a team where his chart isn't so much in conflict with his manager. (Ken Macha was born on September 29, 1950) By September, Saturn will trine Blanton's sun, and next year, it will do so again while Jupiter conjncts his sun. Better treat him well, Skipper, next year should be a terrific year for your young pitcher.

5/11/06 - American Idol fans were shocked to see Chris Daughtry eliminated from the finals on the 10th....probably not more than Daughtry himself. I was sure the finals were going to be between Chris and Katharine McPhee. Chris was born on December 26, 1979 in Lasker, North Carolina. He's a Capricorn, and while he won't be crowned American Idol, as Pluto wanes in Sag and starts to be pulled into the Capricorn energy in 2008, he should see some positive results from this competition.... So, who's left?

Katharine McPhee is an Aries, born March 25, 1984, in Sherman Oaks, California. Elliott Yamin is a Cancer, born July 20, 1978 in Los Angeles, Ca; while Taylor Hicks was born on October 6, 1976 in Beem, Alabama - a Libra. The solar eclipse was in Aries, which puts Arians on the front burner during this time frame - but the Master YOD of Neptune sextile Pluto is pointing at Cancer. I think it's a tossup between the Katharine & Elliott.(5/21/06 - well, it's between Kat and Taylor, and while Chris Daughtry should probably be there, it's going to be a great final.) I think it's great that Taylor came so far (and maybe he'll surprise me with something in his chart I'm not aware of), and this exposure will stand him in good stead. We love him, even if Simon does not....I don't know how that man can be so cruel to these kids. His familiar phrase, "If I'm honest," is such a Plutonian manipulation to couch his venomous tongue.

4/3/06 - What's with Barry Zito? Opening night last night against the Yankees; the Cy Young winner was on the mound....and didn't get out of the second inning. It's known that his mom is a metaphysical minister; and as a metaphysical person myself, I'm thinking it's time to forget that and get a 'winning is the only thing' attitude! Just kidding!
It's a mixed bag for Barry this year. Saturn is going into his solar 4th house, so his foundation is going to be....over grounded if anything. Saturn also will square Uranus on August 1st, which would say someone in authority will not look kindly on his eclectic ways. Saturn also squares his sun by October 11th, just as it goes to his first Saturn return on October 31st....he may be traded by the end of the year. The mix in this scenario is Uranus trining Uranus on June 19th which could see something happening he hadn't anticipated....while Pluto trines Saturn (the only good aspect they make to each other) on September 4th....power and authority beaming their approval. On July 29th, Saturn conjuncts Mars. That's a time for him to be extra careful and not get hurt. Saturn is bones and Mars is muscle. Saturn is cold and Mars is hot. When Saturn aspects Mars in an athlete's chart, it frequently forshadows an injury of some sort.
Just like Eric Byrnes before him, Barry has been building up to his Saturn return for the past couple of years. Once it's over, he'll be back to his premiere status and the A's would be folly to let him go prematurely. 3/31/06 - Naomi Campbell has reportedly been in another fracas with someone on her staff. Naomi was born May 22, 1970 in Streatham, London England at 1:00 am BST. Naomi has Mercury square Saturn in Taurus, which makes her communication conditional, judgemental and critical. Also, Mars at 22 Gemini is in a square position to Pluto at 24 Virgo. In 1970 Uranus had started moving away from Pluto, but these two heavy duty planets are still in range as far as I'm concerned. So Mars is pulled into Pluto, which can be slow, subterranean anger, and then triggers Uranus, which is a flash of quick anger. Right now, today, 3/31/06, transiting Mars is conjuncting her natal Mars. .....there are also very good things in her chart, but the content of this was to describe the reason for sudden outbursts as was reported to have happened.

3/31/06 - Matt Le Blanc just announced he and his wife of three years are splitting up. Life is stressful for Leos born around the end of July; witness Barry Bonds born July 24, 1964. Matt was born July 25, 1967 in Newton, Mass at 4:18 am edt. Things were going well for Matt a few years ago. After "Friends" he got his own show, "Joey" which showed promise, he married the lady he had been with for a number of years; in fact he said in an interview that things were going so good he was waiting for the roof to cave in. Well, it did. First, his baby daughter has neurological problems (born February 8, 2004), Joey is on hiatus, and in January he and his wife split up. Saturn is in his first house, and so is the power point of the Master Yod. Hang in there, Matt, Saturn is going into your 2nd house - which 'only' portends stress with money, and there are a lot of good Jupiter transits coming up in late April and May.

2/14/06 - George Cloooney recently bemoaned the fact he was surprised that he could put on so much weight so fast....35 lbs in 30 days to prepare for his role in Syriana. A look at his chart will tell you why. George was born May 6 1961 in Lexington, Kentucky at 2:48 am EST. It gives him a Taurus sun, which by right alone gives a predilection to weight gain. Add to it a Capricorn moon and Pisces rising.....you ain't gotta chance, George; all these signs indicate a solid exterior. Don't ever give up on the personal trainer and gym workouts!!

1/5/06 - The state of California,and the state of Hawaii share a common sign - Virgo. California is a Virgo state, "born" on Sept 8, 1850, and Hawaii is in the Virgo part of the world (see "Hurricanes" below, explaining this). It's interesting to see how their real estate prices are pretty neck and neck, compared to the rest of the....world, probably. The common denominator is that Pluto has been moving thru the 4th house of both these states. The 4th house is the foundation of the chart, the roots, and Pluto has done one really good job, roto-rootering thru the depths of the states. One always comes out stronger when Pluto gets thru with the 4th house. The 4th house is mom, but it is also real estate. California and Hawaii have seen a powerful upheaval in home prices....or property prices, really.....will it pop? Pluto is at 25 degrees of Sag now (1/5/06), and while I'm worried when Neptune gets off the United States' moon in Aquarius (18 degrees) the whole real estate thing might plop( the U.S. moon represents the people, and real estate).....still, Pluto is winding up it's stay in Sag, and when it gets into Capricorn, it will trine Virgo, and that can be good for both states.
