When it gets down to it....we can't change the past and we can't change the planets in the sky. There are other things we think we cannot change, but with EFT we can in many instances. The past .... and what Pluto is doing with his cohorts in the sky is about all we really can't change. Can't put Pluto in a positive placement to our planets and leave it there....it keeps inexorably moving, as do they all.

As an EFT person with roots in astrology, that set me to thinking......how can we accept the planets at birth and in the sky now, and make them work for us regardless.

Even tho the outer planets - Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto - cause the most angst in our lives, everything is relative, and ultimately everything works for good...however strange that might seem at times. So, it's a matter of using the energy for its potential, not its detriment.

Saturn is the judge, the taskmaster. Saturn makes us earn everything. Saturn is the father energy, the conservative, who believes everybody should pull their own weight, and those who don't get left behind. Saturn challenges us to live within the rules, and doesn't suffer fools lightly. Saturn represents conditional father energy.

Uranus is the hippie of the zodiac. He likes us to march to our own drummer in contrast to Saturn. He gets irritated at the status quo and playing things safe, and often pulls the rug out from under just to see what happens. It's better to initiate change than resist it when Uranus in the sky is affecting our planets.

Neptune is spirituality, poetry, and music on the higher plane, but it deals with illusion, delusion, making things unclear and gauzy here on earth. In situations 'it may seem to be, but is not'. It can create a grand illusion, mirage, which can disappear when the light of day hits it, where you wind up realizing everything wasn't as it seemed. It rules movies and glamour and behind the scenes, but it also rules medications, drugs, alcohol, sabotage, where everything isn't taken into account and all sorts of problems manifest. We think we have taken everything into consideration, and yet wind up missing an important component.

Pluto takes 247 years to travel the 12 signs, and creates diamonds out of carbon with heat and pressure. Whenever we're in a heavy duty situation, where we're in the process of growing, changing, evolving, transcending; coming out the other side a far stronger person than the one who entered, that's a Pluto transit. It only moves a few degrees a year, retrograding (seeming to go backwards) and going over each degree a third time, to aspect any planets nearby in our chart a goodly 3 times to make sure we get the point. Pluto is all about power, control, keeping people off balance, insecure, dominated. Plutonian people can be predator or prey. Those in power manipulate with an 'alternate reality' which keeps the prey from getting a foothold to stand up to them. It's the huge cat in the sky playing cat and mouse with us.

So what can we do about this? We're encouraged in EFT to "try in on everything" so why not astrology? When we understand the energies and can tap on them to bring up their highest good, answers come which allow us to live our lives more in concert with the patterns.

So, for example, say you're a Virgo, born between Aug 22nd and Sept 23rd, and Saturn is now in Libra, in your second house of money. California is a Virgo state and Hawaii is in the Virgo part of the world. We have seen the fiduciary struggle they are expressing now, which is the same in most Virgo lives as well. Even if you are financially secure, the interest on savings and investments is not as comforting as it once was. So a Virgo can tap for:

Uranus, by contrast, upsets the apple cart and watches with amusement as you scurry around trying to gather the apples and get them back in that .....Saturnian?...apple cart.

Wherever Uranus is, it is like turning on a light in a dark room and exposing all that we would like to hide. We like to think about the good things of Uranus - ruler of astrology, computers, higher thinking, but it can be violence and anarchy as well. The United States is born with Uranus in the first house of Self. Our anthem speaks to this, with "bombs bursting in air" rather than "Oh beautiful for spacious skies".

Currently, Uranus is in Aries. In the case of Rep. Anthony Weiner of NY, a Virgo, it turned up in his 6th house of work, where he was suddenly exposed and removed from office. Weiner might have tapped for:

Neptune has moved in to its own sign, Pisces, doubling the self-medicating effect. It's so elusive, that I find myself searching for words, trying to pin it down and not really succeeding. So, in writing this, I moved on to Pluto, and vowed to get back to this...but then I thought, "I can tap for it":

Pluto has moved into Capricorn in the last couple of years. Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, so we add manipulation and coercion to rules and regulations. We see it in politics with the manipulation and control and roughshod way people in power are getting their way without thought of couching it in phrases which sound like it's good for us, but isn't. They are just ramrodding their desires through the congress.

For Capricorns, Pluto can bring in a strong person to challenge them right now. This is often a time in a marriage where one has been in control - the Plutonian person - and one has been submissive and it's a time where the latter has to stand up for her/himself, and come into their own power. It's time for the mouse to become something like a possum and scare the cat off.

Ok, back to Neptune. By the time we get to be seniors, Neptune is in aspects to its own placement at our birth for the rest of our lives which can cause Alzheimer's and what we used to call senility. We start to lose the left brain, Uranus mindset, tracking logically and linearly, and begin to see in pictures, which makes it hard to express. We have to work hard at balancing the two ways of thinking and keep them functioning in tandem.

As we reach the senior age of our lives, it's time to tap into that reality:

The Humanistic psychologist, Carol Rogers said, "The paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change". It seems odd to 'accept' these concepts above, but when we do the Universe comes in with answers.
