John F. Kennedy Jr. was born on November 25, 1960 at 12:22 am EST in Washington, D.C. to prominent parents. At his birth, there was an older sister by 3 years, Caroline.

JFK Jr. was born with a Sagittarius Sun, Aquarian moon and Virgo rising, with Pluto on the ascendant.

A Sag sun blesses one with a global vision and the desire to see the world. Not content with his surroundings, he'll view the world as his domain. A guy with a great sense of humor and incisive wit, yet he'll be a bit dogmatic and see his world from his own perspective.

An Aquarian moon shows that he has an emotional need to reach beyond the stars and see that which is yet to be. The air sign can make him a bit more aloof than a Sag would normally be. But he's a person of the people and sees himself, partly because of a Virgo rising coming up, as a servant of the people. With A Sag sun at 2 degrees and an Aquarian Moon at 27 degrees -almost into Pisces - this 85 degree separation would indicate that his parents were having problems at the time of his birth.

With Virgo rising, this lends an air of practicality to the flamboyance of the Sun and moon. When we look at his chart from a Chinese perspective, we see thathe was born in the Year of the Rat, the Month of the Monkey (my interpretation, see "Chinese Power Animals" when it debuts this spring, the Hour of the Rat and the Minute of the Monkey. 2 Rats and 2 Monkeys. The Rat correlates to the gall bladder meridian in the 5 element system, and the element is wood. The Monkey equates with the Bladder meridian and the element is water. Water nourishes wood to grow; this is good.

The Rat energy seeks a world where the golden rule applies. He altruistically does for others without thinking of himself and expects the same in return. He is crushed when he experiences abandonment and betrayal in his life. The Monkey energy needs to let go and trust a Loving Universe. To the extent he doesnt, he can move into a place of control, where he keeps the bad at bay, but he also doesn't let the good in either. He can create a world of his own making, and won't want to see any other reality. His colors are green and blue.

MOTHER-Jackie

By word or deed, his mother, Jackie, needs to attend to his needs as an infant, and make sure he is fed when he is hungry and not on a schedule, so he will feel that this is a secure world that met his needs. She is to instill in him that he is not what he does but who he is....a spiritual being evolving, and not to get caught up in any of the myriad 'hats' he might wear in his lifetime. She needs to develop in him a sense of contentment and fulfillment, knowing his needs will be met and he can expect to attain and achieve what he sets forth to do.

Her second responsibility is to encourage her son to love himself, not from an egotistical point of view, but we deny ourselves so much in this experience when we deem 'we don't deserve it' and not allow a Loving Universe to provide for us. She needs to make him recognize that everyone is not going to like him, and it is not a personal reflection upon him...some people's personalities mesh, some don't...and not try to be a people person and defer to other people simply to get approval. She needs to work with him to recognize his own abilities and not reject himself in anyway.

Yet, the qualities that the mother is suppose to instill, are often the very ones they have trouble with themselves. To the extent his mother doesn't do this, JFK Jr. will have issues around 'having enough'....aquiring things just to 'have' them and not really paying attention to them later. If she doesn't develop his sense of self approval , he can have problems with deferring his own interets to appease others and fit in.

Today, we know that Jackie was a woman of wealth who acquired more and more during her life; needed an opulent life style and had a large wardrobe during her years at the White House.

FATHER - John F. Kennedy Sr.

By word or deed, his father is given the responsibility to teach him peace...peace of mind, to have a sense of peace within himself and not be assailed by outside influences. He was to show JFK Jr. how to move beyond his fears and not let them rule his life. By his own actions, he needs to show him to be courageous and move out into the world.

Yet the qualities that the father is suppose to instill are often the ones he has trouble with himself. President John F. Kennedy was known to have lower back problems, which relates to the organ/meridian involved here, the Kidneys.

CAROLINE

JFK Jr's older sister, Caroline, is given the responsibility, by word or deed, to instill in John John the need to be authentic; to not edit, rehearse, or hold back anything of who he is, but help him to get out there and be a social being who interfaces well and easily with people. She also is the person given the duty to help him see the positive in life.

Caroline, a Sag herself, seems to be very reserved and quiet, with perhaps some introversion about interacting with others.

GRANDPARENTS

His maternal grandmother and his paternal grandfather, Joseph P. Kennedy, were given the responsibility, by word or deed, to help John John become a victor in life; not buffeted around by fate but seizing life and making it his own. They were to encourage him to be a person of discrimination, which simply means knowing who is positive and healthy for him to associate with and who is not. They have the responsibility to teach him to not be a bully; not to victimize or be victimized.

His paternal grandmother, Rose Kennedy, and maternal grandfather, Big Jack (BlackJack?) Bouvier, on the other hand, have the responsibility to love him unconditionally and encourage him that he can be anything he sets his mind on becoming. To altruistically do for him without thinking of their own self interests.

With Pluto on the ascendant and being born in Gall Bladder/Rat time, it shows that Rose, indeed was the power in the family, but behind the scenes. It shows that she had issues around abandonment and betrayal, which she needed to turn around and not let John John pick up on the energy. Being born at nearly 12:30 am., John John's first house of self is split between gall bladder/Rat energy and Liver/Ox energy. The Ox archetype tends to feeling frustrated and held back, and can send one to the bottle when his dreams are not realized; and his grandfather was reputed to have been a drinker.

The interesting thing about John F Kennedy Jr.s chart is that he has so many relatives; so doing a full in depth chart with all his family members included would be a book all in itself.
