Serena Williams Chart

Serena Williams has accomplished more than the majority of people in her life, but the photo of her chewing out the Asian lines judge will probably be the singular event for which she's remembered. Serena had a meltdown at the end of a tennis match against Kim Clijsters in the semifinals of the U.S. Open where she was clearly outmatched.

With two match points against her, the lines judge called a foot fault. At that point in a match it usually wouldn't be called, and it's debatable whether it was accurate or not. Serena had been a pressure cooker for the entire two weeks, staring in a bully like fashion at calls against her. Frustrated at not winning the match, she lost her cool when the foot fault was called.

At the press conference later, she was calm, cool and collected. When one of the reporters asked whether it was the weather or the delay in playing that had caused her reaction, she tossed it off.

But the question should have been, "With Saturn opposing Uranus in the sky on the 15th, did you feel more prone to exploding than normal?" Answer would have been yes if she knew astrology.

Saturn is the cop, the judge, the taskmaster where 'rules are rules' and meant to be obeyed....whether there are two points to go to defeat in a match or not. Uranus is the hippie, the free spirit, the time bomb, that doesn't want nit picky Saturn to repress its individuality. Saturn has opposed Uranus twice before in the last year, and where normally this would be the last lash of the dragon's tail; in this instance, there will be 5 oppositions from the two before it's over...so this was just the middle contact.

The opposition is enhanced because in November, Saturn moves on to square Pluto in the sky and in January of 2010, Saturn and Pluto square Serena's sun sign at 3 of Libra. Pluto was lurking in the background, lending a powerful subtle influence. On the day of the match, Saturn/Uranus were about to oppose on the 15th, while the sun was moving in to conjunct Saturn and oppose Uranus on the 17th, bringing more light and intensity to the situation. With Pluto loitering in the background, the need for power in the situation outweighed the normal visage.

The Master yod point, from Neptune sextile Pluto, is getting closer to Serena's Mars in Leo....not there yet, but as the years go along it will help her in her sports career, but it may be harder for her to contain her cool....there could be a surgery or two.

Serena Williams Chart
People born in the early '80's have Uranus at the trigger point of the Master Yod between Neptune and Pluto. The Uranus trigger points directly at Chiron in Taurus and her first house. The three outer planets strategically placed like this, pointing at her first house of Self, can set her off when they are aspected. The obvious indicators of a temper aren't there, but Mars is the first planet from the ascendant, albeit in the 5th house, and it's in Leo, sextiling Saturn and Jupiter and squaring Venus. It's a wide square to Uranus but being that Uranus is the trigger to the Master Yod, it can set it off at times.

Serena was born in the Year of the Rooster, the month of the Horse, the Hours of the Dog, and the minute of the Rat. The Rat is the center of rage, and it's in her 4th house of foundation/roots/mom, while Mars is in the 5th house and the Chinese area of the Ox...both the Ox and Rat have issues with frustration and anger, so this may point her temper out more than other aspects.

The Rooster has fears, the Horse wants to be married and in tandem, but born in the hours of the Dog, she can scare people away. When the Horse and Dog are together in a chart, the Horse wants love and relationship but when it has it's heart broken, the Dog jumps in to protect it and feels it is its duty to make sure it doesn't happen again, so can bark ferociously and scare people away. On the positive side, the Dog can be loyal and steadfast.

The opposition of Saturn and Uranus was evident when basketball player Michael Jordan was said to be less than cordial at his Hall of Fame induction. The Saturn need to criticize and judge overruled on this day where he should have been acknowledging everyone who mentored and helped him along the way.

On the national front, we see Saturn as the conservatives and Uranus as the progressives and Pluto as the power people in the world being the puppeteer.

People born in late 1966 into early 1967 had Saturn/Chiron in Pisces and Uranus opposite in Virgo near Pluto. Now, in September of 2009, Saturn is in Virgo and Uranus is in Pisces, exactly opposite, and in nearly the same degrees.....they too, have to watch their detonation point! There are two more 'hits' of these two, Saturn opposing Uranus. The last one as they enter Libra and Aries respectively next year, in cardinal signs....the last lash of the dragon's tail portends to be a doozy.
