Tate Donovan has really come into his own. Women bemoan the fact for themselves, but men just age better and become like a fine wine. So, too, Tate Donovan. He was one of the key players in the initial "O.C." success, and it's a bummer that he isn't still on the show.

Tate was born on September 25, 1963 in Tenafly, New Jersey....like the last of 5-6 kids. He is a first day Libra, with a late Sag moon.....maybe Capricorn if he was born late in the day. Tate has a strinig of planets one right after another, with just Saturn and Jupiter off at angles. Uranus starts at 7 Virgo and the moon 'ends' at 25-ish Sag. Since Pluto was at 12 of Virgo at his birth, life "ain't been kind to him". Pluto went over all his planets, and now, as it finishes up in Sag, it's working on the moon, and then as it goes into Capricorn, it will start trining these planets one after another (it'll be squaring Libra, tho, for a last lash of the Dragon's tail for the experience he had as a child and young adult, but the heavy duty stuff is pretty much behind him).

Alan Dale was on The O.C. for too short a time. He was excellent as "Caleb Nichol" and provided a good balance to the other characters on the show. I feel something lacking in the show this year (2005-2006) with Caleb not there, disapproving of his family and just about everyone else. There needs to be that piece of sand to make the pearl.

Alan was born on May 6, 1947 in Dunedin, New Zealand. He has an extensive career in Australia, new Zealand and Europe. It is our good fortune he came to Los Angeles and episodic tv. Alan has his sun in Taurus and his moon in Scorpio. Venus and Mars are together in Aries triggering a good romantic connection. Two planets which offer protection are Venus and Jupiter. Venus is in the 11th house of career money, and Jupiter is in the 7th solar house of mate, and first one in particular - also, second child.

Traditionally, Mercury squares Saturn, and the Sun squares Pluto, but Saturn/Pluto being such a strong pairing, that I would pull Mercury and the Sun together to square them both. That energy provides Alan with the critical, judgemental demeanor that is so powerful in his roles.

Being born in 1947, close to the start of the baby boomers era, it would say that in the next year or so, something he thought he had dominion over, could just go poof in thin air. See baby boomer article elsewhere on site.

CHINESE ASTROLOGY: Alan was born in the Year of the Boar and the month of the Ox. The Boar has deep issues with humiliation and ridicule, and will go to all lengths not to put himself in that position. The Boar tends to look at the glass half empty and needs to find worth in things. As an Ox, he can be very magnanimous at times, but can also use that to get what he wants.

I shouldn't admit this, but my affection for Michael Nouri goes back to "Search for Tomorrow", when he and Meg Bennett were the hot twosome of their day...1975-78 was the time frame, and Michael played "Steve Kaslo" to Meg's "Liza". Those were the days!!!

Michael was born on December 9, 1945 in Washington D.C. He has a Sag sun and Aquarian moon. That's a pretty gregarious combination for a guy who usually plays the quiet, sultry, brooding type....maybe he has Scorpio rising.

Michael has an interesting chart in that there are 4 Libra (air) planets and asteroids, and 6 in Sag (fire). The Moon is alone in Aquarius, and Uranus opposes some of those Sag planets in Gemini. Then Saturn, moving in to conjunct Pluto in 1946-47, sees Mars as a roadblock in between. Sometimes this can mean a temper, but I've also seen this position in people who seem to not exhibit it at all...It could also say that he has late Cancer/Leo rising, for this would give him his brooding quality. Michael has been thru a sustained growing time as Pluto has gone over his Sag planets one by one. The last lash of the Dragon's tail goes over Vesta and his south node, and then he gets a much needed breather; stronger and more resilient than before.

Michael was born in the Year of the Rooster and the Month of the Monkey.The Rooster wrestles with fear and can have problems with the kidneys. Roosters need to find peace in life and let it manifest the way it will. The Monkey, tho, has other ideas. He likes to have a firm handle on his life and the way it's going, and it's hard for him to let go and let live.
