Peter Gallagher is the reason I tuned in to "The O.C." towards the end of the first season. He's been one of my favorites for a long time, and even tho the show didn't sound that promising - being focused on teens, it seemed - I tuned in to see Peter, and stayed; The. O.C. becoming one of my favorite programs. I even rented the first season on Netflix to get the background of the whole series. I think Sandy Cohen is such a great example of a loving father and husband, and a role model for all men.

Peter was born on August 19, 1955 in....well, the Fox bio says in New York and raised in Armonk, New York. He is a late Leo with Virgo moon. I'm a Virgo with Leo Venus, so the fact he has 5 planets in Leo and 2 in Virgo creates the connection. Put Peter Gallagher in a film, and I'm there! Even "While You Were Sleeping" where he was the one sleeping!

Peter has a stellium in Leo, which means 3 or more planets in the same sign, and in Peter's case he has Jupiter, Venus, Mars, Sun, Pluto and the asteroid Vesta in Leo. The Mercury and Venus follow in Virgo. Peter has very little in the rest of the signs. That's good in one way, in that his energy is focused. He's a Leo, and Leos generally like to act and make people smile, and his chart is certainly geared for it. The not good thing, is that when a planet such as Pluto conjuncts, squares or opposes those planets, it's a sustained period of spiritual and transcendent growth. So, Pluto went over Mercury and the Moon when he was young, creating some issues with Mom, while at the same time, Uranus at 29 of Cancer, started going over all his Leo and Virgo planets one by one; a very unstable time for a little guy....since it went over Jupiter and Venus early, it could have set the pattern for success in his life.

Along about 1984, Pluto went into Scorpio and then in 1996 it moved into Sag, and squared all his Leo/Virgo planets, so from '84 to 2002 Peter had a long series of experiences, creating a 'diamond' out of carbon.

Currently, in his solar chart, Pluto is about to leave his 4th house of home and family, which will lighten the load. But, good ol' Saturn is in Leo now, so it'll be a mixed bag for awhile; aout 3 1/2 years while it moves over all those planets.

CHINESE ASTROLOGY: Peter was born in the Year of the Sheep and the month of the Dragon, but on the cusp of the Snake. The Sheep is good for the Dragon, in that it expresses the energy that he has his fleece (talent) that can be shorn and taken to market and be sold for his benefit over and over again. But the Sheep also contains the elements of victim and he needs to stay in the strength of the Dragon to keep from being led into bad business deals, and the like. Since he's so close to the Snake energy and has a Virgo moon, it balances the exuberance of the Dragon and brings in the elements of perfectionism and the need to keep things organized.

Benjamin McKenzie plays his role as the anti-hero Ryan Atwood well. He has passion and he has a base of being a good guy and doing the right thing. But he was brought up in Chino and he's had to survive.

Ben was born in Austin, Texas on September 12, 1978, and is a Virgo with a Capricorn moon.....one of the few actors were the trine indicates his folks were in love at his birth. Two earth signs makes him practical, and he doesn't do things without thinking them through thoroughly.

Mercury joins Saturn in Virgo, which would indicate that his speech tends to be terse and to the point; he's not about to be overly gregarious.

As a Virgo, life has been one of intense experience the past 10 years as Pluto moved thru Sag and the base of his chart. He ran up against some strong woman figure that he had to deal with. Neptune is starting to go through his 6th house of health, and he needs not to over look anything that may seem trivial and may not be. He would tend to go into denial about ill health and perhaps ignore it.

CHINESE ASTROLOGY: Ben was born in the year of the Horse and the month of the Snake. The Horse wants relationship and yet can go it alone for a long time. They wear their heart of their sleeve, and can be aloof, afraid of getting hurt. On the other hand, other Horses can marry simply to be married, and stay in a marriage long after they shouldn't. A Virgo Horse will tend to over analyze and judge a potential mate til he talks himself out of it.

The Snake is a perfectionist....what more is there to say? They are hardest on themselves. They hate it when they've found out they've done less than what they've expected of themselves. They need someone in their lives to help them loosen up and let go. As a Snake, I've found the Universe comes in and makes sure you don't get too full of yourself. I used to publish a metaphysical newspaper, and we'd proof it and proof it and yet it wasn't til it was printed that we'd find a gross error - it's like the Universe is telling you that not perfect can be okay and we have to learn to live with it.

Adam Brody has taken "Seth" and single handledly made him a focal point of the series. He has become one of my favorites of this show. In his bio, it says that he talked his folks into letting him go to college in LA; but instead he hired an acting coach and agent and set about to create an acting career. The fact that his Sagittarian sun conjuncts (same place as) his Neptune assures that acting, or some type of creative work is definitely something that Adam would do.

Adam Brody was born on December 15, 1979 in San Diego, California. He has a Scorpio moon to go along with the Sag sun. That's a strong combination. His sense of humor can be insightful and/or wicked. Adam has Sun square Saturn, while Ben McKenzie has Mercury conjunct Saturn - there's probably not much conversation going on there; both aspects tend to be on the quiet and reserved side.

The fact that the Sun and Neptune hang out together gives Adam another dimension of artistic creativity. He would like working behind the scenes as well as acting on camera. Uranus at the end of Scorpio and Mercury in early degrees of Sag aren't that close to be a true aspect, but I would see that as a quick, inventive mind, that receives new ways of doing things from the universe.

CHINESE ASTROLOGY:

Adam was born in the Year of the Sheep and the Month of the Monkey. ...Bunch of Sheep in this flock of actors!! The Sheep is deep and delves beneath the surface. While they have the ability to see thru others and call them on their stuff, they have to use that acumen well, not to get used by others.

The Monkey likes control, and life just works better when he's in the director's chair, metaphorically or in actuality. Monkeys tend to create a world to their liking and don't want to see anything outside of it; don't rock his creation!
