Arnold was born on July 30, 1947 at 4:10 am CED in Graz, Austria. His birth was just two weeks before Saturn conjuncted Pluto in Leo. Every 33+ years, S and P meet up. Saturn is authority, criticism, judgment; holding laws as inviolate. Pluto is power and dominion...and sex.....When the two come together it's a time frame for people born then seeking power and control when they grow up. In our lifetime this combo was first in Cancer in 1913 and then, after Leo in 1947, Libra in 1983. The two signs that sandwich the Leo encounter are not as powerful as Leo. Sure, those natives want power, too, but in a more covert way. Many are cantankerous and can slice you in two with a word or a glance. Natives with Saturn/Pluto in their charts, usually have had fathers who had S/P in their own charts in conjunct or hard angles, and have grown up under the heavy hand of someone who seeks to control by breaking the will of the child. It seared their soul, and set them on a path of power over.
When Pluto moved thru Leo in the 40's and 50's, it opened up the idea of creativity and our ability to create. "Creativity" came into the lexicon during this spell, before only God could create. So Pluto in Leo conferred the concept that we are creative and we can create, too That gave us a bigger sense of ourselves. But while it built us up in one sense, we became the "Me Generation", it also created egos who were born at that time to dominate by crushing spirits and wiping out any sense of self....which has led to a generation of narcissists, what are called malignant narcissists, and some psychopathic narcissists. You pick who Arnold is.
The Leo sign is one of royalty, entitlement, and when you add to it Saturn's energy of the ultimate judge who makes the decisions, and Pluto's desire for ultimate power, then they are the ultimate authority who play by their own rules. They are above the law in a sense, in their own minds. We see that all the time in the lives of powerful men, particularly in politics.
Pluto flirts with power. Pluto flirts with sex. Historian John Emerich Edward Dalberg Acton gave us the oft quoted axiom: "Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely." What we don't hear, is the end of the statement, "Great men are almost always bad men".
Pluto is power, pluto is sex, pluto is politics....well, Sag is politics, but the two intertwine, Scorpio and Sag being alongside each other on the zodiac wheel. So we have the 3 P's.....power, politics and penis....the 3 are 1 in essence, they cannot be separated. Hence most powerful men have high libidos....you can't want to be president...to be the most powerful man in the world... and have a weak libido...something Arnold would love to be if the constitution allowed it. Fortunately, it doesn't.
So, for us to be shocked and mortified because of the sexual escapades of politicians and other powerful figures is naive...it goes with the territory.
We not only have Arnold in the headlines, but Dominique Strauss-Kahn, whom most of us have never heard of before, but now in the headlines for alleged lascivious conduct with a maid. He was born in 1949, as S and P were still engaged with each other. He was born on April 25, 1949, and Pluto is at 14 Leo and Saturn at 29...not usually looked at as a conjunction, but to me, since nothing is between them, and then in 1957, when he was 8, Pluto moved to conjunct the Saturn position, producing an aspect which usually creates abuse of some kind that sets the future for these individuals.
In the Schwarznegger's composite chart, their composite sun is in Virgo with Gemini rising. Last fall they had the second Saturn return (Saturn conjunct Saturn ) where the marriage is evaluated, and new boundaries are established. Saturn then conjuncted their Venus, which would cast a harsh tone on their relationship. Then in the fall Pluto squared their Saturn after Saturn conjuncted it.....which says that the Saturn opposite Pluto in the sky was focused on their Saturn.....not a good aspect. Arnold was not feeling the love from the California populace, and his home life wasn't any better. Come January of this year and Uranus opposed Venus, exposing something, and now in April Uranus opposed their Saturn, so their face to the public was shattered to reveal the angst behind the scenes.
The whole Schwarzenegger scenario is one of operas and soap operas. The King or the Prince has a dalliance with the downstairs maid, and then the stage is set for a grand production. They say there are only 7 different stories, and all others are variations. This is one of the 7, and we see it played out on the media stage all the time. One can only wonder what powerful women do.
