1/8/08 - I'm almost sad I was right as Hillary Clinton, seems to be in a free fall. Elsewhere on this site I've described that Neptune sextile Pluto is the Master Yod, and now Neptune is sesquiquadrating itself, and Pluto is sesquiquadrating itself. This is a minor aspect, 135 degrees apart, but the fact they are sesqui'ing themselves at the same time within a year or so, and they've been in sextile since 1941......it seems that one is in their power with Pluto....that nothing can go wrong...and then Neptune comes in and pulls the rug out. Hillary's Neptune sesqui isn't direct til 2009 but it's moving in and close enough to start affecting the campaign. It is almost cruel....No, it is cruel... for the Universe to create people born in the middle-late 40's when Saturn/Pluto conjunct in Leo, giving them a quest and desire ...and yes, lust... for ultimate power....and then just as they go for it, Neptune comes in and wipes it out. She may pull out of this, but it certainly shows that Bill and GWB, born in 1946, were in a better position because they ran for president before this sesqui came in.

1/22/08 - Well, Hillary pulled it out, like a plane nosediving, and the pilot pulls it out at the last minute. Still, her Neptune "sesqui" peaks in early Jan 09, so we'll see how it affects her campaign as we get nearer to the election. 2/22/08 - Neptune kicked in, and Romney, born in Pisces, suspended his campaign, and Hillary, a Scorpio, felt the effects of Neptune a little while later. Will it all just fritter away for her?????

12/7/07 - Jenna Bush, appearing on the "Ellen" show, was pressured into phoning her folks at home. While the press was going "Aaaaaaah. wasn't that sweet...the president said he loved her".....if you pay attention, Jenna kept repeating "I'm going to get in trouble" and "I'm not going to get anything on my Christmas list"......should a child - particularly an adult child of 26 - be that fearful of her parents???? Jenna and her sister, Barbara were born on November 25, 1981 in Dallas, Texas. Well, of course they were. They were born with Saturn moving in on Pluto with Jupiter closeby. Very descriptive of a father in power in politics. When a person is born with Saturn/Pluto together, they usually have a strong, domineering, no nonsense father, and in turn, have children born when Saturn and Pluto aspect each other (conjunct, square, opposition), showing their domineering energy in their children's chart. Geo Bush senior has Saturn square Pluto wide; Geo W has Saturn/Pluto conjunct a little wide, but endured the conjunction in the sky in '47 squared by Chiron in '48, which exacerbated it. Now, the girls have a near conjunction, too. It seems like the first child usually gets the aspect, so that if there are not more children, the energy is passed on. With a Scorpio mother (most Scorpio women admit they aren't the warm and fuzzy type) and a powerful father, Jenna is at the mercy of the energy now, but because the twins have that energy in their chart, they have a strength that will realize itself in later years, when they can come out from under the shadow of their parents.

11/17/07 - Bernard Kerik, pal of Rudy Giuliani's, is causing some concern in the Giuliani camp, I imagine. Leo Judith Regan (she of the O.J. Simpson book) has just filed a $100 million lawsuit against News Corporation whom she accuses of allegedly telling her to lie about her lover, Kerik, to protect Giuliani. Kerik was born on September 4, 1955 in Newark, New Jersey. His Pluto is at the end of Leo, and Mars is at 5 of Virgo, so Saturn went over Pluto and recently, Mars. In the solar chart, it's in the 12th house of the hidden, so power and control behind the scenes. And when Saturn goes over Pluto, abuse of power is brought to light. When the Master Yod points goes over Uranus at 0 of Leo at some point in the next couple of years, his fortunes will change dramatically, one way or another.

8/29/07 - Sen. Larry Craig, (R) ID has found himself in the forefont of a scandal, trying to defend himself against charges he solicited gay sex in the men's rest room at the Minneapolis airport back in June. Craig, who was born on July 20, 1945 in Council, Idaho. His sun - and a person's sun is usually flanked by Mercury, Venus and/or Mars who don't stray far from it - is between Saturn and Pluto - that would give him his rigid, moralistic, conservative visage. He also has Venus conjunct Uranus in Gemini. This latter combo often creates a person who is - on one side of the coin - a womanizer - and on the other side - someone who's gay. In this instance, it seems like Uranus 'outed' him, as Uranus is wont to do about things we'd like to keep secret. Uranus in the sky right now, has been squaring Venus and itself all year. At the same time, Pluto has been squaring Chiron, the wounding, and may have been part of it. He's a late Cancer- almost Leo, with 2 Leo planets, and Saturn almost got out the door and into Virgo, but Uranus wouldn't let it go away undiscovered.
     10/17/07 - Update - On Tuesday, Craig was interviewed by Matt Lauer in a one hour special. If you are seeking to define the energy of the Monkey, watch that interview. Denial, denial, denial! The Emperor wears no clothes. The Monkey, which is the archetype for the Bladder meridian (read "Bladder control") can over ride the obvious and be in total denial of the evidence. The man thinks he can deny it and people are going to believe him. His Moon in Sag in the Bladder area of the Chinese overlay, says that this ability to deny has possibly come from his mother's side of the family. It'd be interesting to know his time of birth and know if he was born between 3-5 pm, in the Bladder meridian time, to make it more precise. Regardless, the fact the moon is in that position gives it added weight.      12/03/07 - Update - Leos have had Pluto going thru their Bladder/Monkey meridian. Depending on their birthdate, it may be over now, or in the middle, but it went on for some time. Monkey/Bladder is all about control, and with Pluto there it amps it up to the 10th power. Because Craig is an almost-last day Cancerian, Pluto exited his Bladder space around 2000, but his moon is in there, opposing the Venus/Uranus conjunction; he's been used to controlling this all his life, and now it's unraveling and he cannot do anything but what he's done all his life.

7/11/07 - Sara Taylor, Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of Political Affairs at the White House, who reported directly to Karl Rove, was born on September 15 1974, probably in Iowa, as her father, Ray Taylor, is a former Iowa state rep. On September 11, 2007, she is appearing before the Senate committee, being interrogated by Sen. Patrick Leahy. I expected to see a Pluto transit (speaking truth to power) but that doesn't seem to be the case. It looks like the end of Saturn opposite Neptune aspect...the senate seeking to bring into manifestation what Neptune has been nefariously trying to hide. Saturn and Pluto hate lying....principally because they can't control a situation if they don't know what's going on. Neptune is very good at creating a mirage. The Master Yod (Nep sextile Pluto) is pointing at late degrees of Cancer, and recently went over her Saturn, and will be bouncing off that energy for quite awhile; life is real, Saturn is taking her to task and will be watching for some time. On this date, the Sun is conjuncting her Saturn, bringing her into the limelight. There is one Pluto aspect, which is sextiling Uranus, which could trigger a sudden revelation, and it is a Yod on it's own, pointing at Taurus. Mars is nearby altho the yod point has moved beyond it. Actually, Mars is going to be squared by Pluto next year, so it is moving in; but this seems to be a little early. I have a mid point system that I derived that might show something else, but it has to be done by hand, so I don't do that unless it's important to track down something important. She said she is willing to speak if the president lets her, so if that goes til next year, the Pluto/Mars aspect will come in to play. (side bar: Interesting how two Virgos, Taylor and Scooter Libby, are falling on the sword at this point in time).

3/22/07 - Elizabeth Edwards, wife of presidential aspirant, John Edwards, announced today that the cancer had returned. She was born on July 3rd, 1949 in Jacksonville, Florida. As the 2004 presidential election came to an end, she announced she had breast cancer, and has spent the time since actively combating it, and seemed to have succeeded.

When events like this occur, I look to see what Saturn is doing. Natally, there is a square between Saturn (in Virgo) and Chiron (In Sag). Currently, as Saturn leaves Leo and moves into Virgo, it will conjunct itself (second Saturn return) and square Chiron. Chiron is the wounded healer. When we put the Chinese chart over it, Saturn is in the Snake (Spleen) area, and Chiron is in Monkey (Bladder). The Snake wants to fix everything, and the Monkey is going to control it and make sure it happens. Saturn is a harbinger of what Pluto has wrought...or I guess more accurately, shows us after the fact what Pluto has wrought. Pluto conjuncted Elizabeth's Chiron (deep wounding) in 1996, in her 5th solar house of children. That was the year her oldest son, Wade, was killed in an accident. Subsequently, in her late 40's she chose, and had the need, to have two more children. Pluto created the deep emotional wound in 1996, and now Saturn is manifesting it and showing her how it affected her mind, body and affairs. It may be, that because she couldn't 'fix it', her subconscious may be 'controlling' it by wanting to be with her son. While we say altruistically that all the planets work for ultimate good we whisper under our breath, "except Saturn and Pluto". I'm starting to look at Saturn more kindly and seeing that it can manifest what is going on so we can get to the emotional core of it and hopefully reverse the process. When Saturn is manifesting our thoughts and emotions, it opens the way to find the answer.

(I just wish they wouldn't say 'her cancer' or 'my cancer' - it's not good to 'own' it. "The cancer" is better. When I had endocarditis (heart staph infection) I made sure to say 'the cardiologist' rather than 'my cardiologist'.

3/15/07 - Attorney General, Alberto Gonsalves is on the rack, right now for this firing of U.S. attorneys. Oh, poor, Al. He was born on August 4, 1955, in San Antonio, Texas, and he has 7 planets and 1 asteroid in Leo ....which means for the past 2+ years, Saturn has been going over them, one after another, triggering onerous responsibility and testing each planet. Right now, it's hovering between Mars and natal Pluto....and squaring itself, because Saturn squared Pluto in '55-56. He's part of this Saturn-Neptune opposition; Saturn coming in to to look disapprovingly at actions that may not be up and aboveboard. The positive thing is that there's this grand trine thing going on right now with Saturn trining Pluto trining Venus, so he may pull himself out of it ultimately. He certainly doesn't seem like a gregarious Leo from what I've seen of him. Perhaps the Saturn square Pluto imploded him somewhat, for it would indicate he had a person in his young life as a child who was critical and demanding, and maybe narcissistic and unfeeling. 8/30/07 - In a political email, it was stated that Gonsalves had been AG for 2 1/2 years, the same amount of time Saturn was in Leo. If there was any time frame for a Leo not to get a job like this, it was the last 2 1/2 years. Before the election when Nixon was elected, respected astrologer, Sydney Omarr said "the winner will be the loser" - same here. Any other time he probably would have fared better.

2/8/07 - Scooter Libby is on trial now, and when one gets into big trouble like this, it stands to reason we look at Pluto and what this nefarious planet is up to. As it happens, it's squaring Scooter's natal Mercury and Saturn; not a good combo. Pluto/Mercury contacts are often when we have to confront the manipulation and power of words, and then Saturn in the mix is a time of power struggle. In fact, 2007 doesn't bode well for Libby. With the Neptune/Saturn opposition in the sky, Neptune has moved in to oppose natal Pluto; dissolving of power, while in April, Saturn conjuncts Pluto, Another intense aspect of this opposition. In August, Saturn conjuncts his sun (someone rains on his parade), and in 2008, Pluto conjuncts his Moon (issues with mother, emotions, family life). Doesn't look like Libby is going to come up for air for quite awhile. (For fun, I set up Libby's chart with a 7:30 pm birth time, which would put Jupiter (Law) in his first house, with Pluto in the 6th house, falling on the sword for the greater 'good'.)

2/8/07 - San Francisco Mayor, Gavin Newsom, finds his private life on the front pages, as the estranged wife of a former staffer revealed she had an affair with him a couple of years ago. Gavin was born October 10, 1967 at 5:13 pm PDT, in San Francisco. I don't know where I got this info, but it does seem to have a birth time, not just solar. The Saturn-Neptune aspect in the sky right now is squaring his Neptune at 22 of Scorpio. Love affairs and alcohol would come under the purview of Neptune, and then Saturn comes in with the critical eye to look down on him with judgement. Pluto is also squaring Chiron, which is pretty close to Saturn in the first house, indicating some father wounding, so it could be a recycle of a parent-child episode from the past. Actually, thru his life so far, the power point from the Master Yod (Nep sextile Pluto) has been bouncing off of Saturn, causing strife, even tho he's a wealthy man. In the next few years, this point will reach Jupiter, and then Venus, so his fortunes should rebound well.

1/20/07 - Listen to the rhetoric of Senator Sam Brownback, who announced his intention to run for president and you know the planet to which he marches. On his senate site he says "This website is a good way to deliver my message of Reduce, Reform and Return in order to Restore the American dream to Kansas and all America". When you are enamored of words starting with "RE" you are motivated by Pluto. Pluto's energy is to dig deep inside and change things on a cellular level. Remodel, ressurect, resolve, come to mind - the healing practices of Reiki, Regenesis, Reconnection, all relate to healing on deep levels. I found Brownback's birthdate and lo and behold, he was born on September 12, 1956, in or around Parker, Kansas (his bio says he was raised in Parker, not born), and that was a heavy year. Saturn was squaring Pluto in the sky, and it was the Year of the Monkey; his youth was probably not fun and roses. On the positive, he has a strong need to heal, the country as well as himself, probably, and on the negative, there is the strong possibility of big time control issues which can get out of hand.

10/2/06 - This past week, news broke that Congressman Mark Foley (R) Fla, had been allegedly emailing young boys inappropriately on the internet; something that was known for more than a year in political circles, and much like the catholic priest scandals, no one did anything about it. Foley was born on Sept 8 1954 in Newton, Massachusetts. The Master Yod point (Neptune sextile Pluto) had been bouncing off Chiron (wounded) since birth, and in recent years moved over Jupiter, bringing him more success one would think...but now pointing at Uranus....things suddenly brought to light. Even tho he has Jupiter conj Uranus in Cancer, that pesky Uranus will burst the bubble on pomposity every time. Technically, he has no aspects to Pluto except a quincunx to Uranus and sextile to Neptune, but many planets are just outside the orb and I would include them. Mercury quincunx'ing, Venus sextiling (creating another yod to Pisces/Aries). In Chinese terms, the Yod is pointing to late degrees of Rooster/Kidney (fear) and to the Dog/Circ Sex, the majority of his life. While Dogs run the gamut from loyal and loving to territorial and viscious, those who are inhibited in negative degrees, can see children as relationships they can handle; and Pluto is always 'power over'....and the Dog energy also encapsulizes 'loss of innocence'....it's also tied - widely - to the Master Yod.

9/28/06 - Senator George Allen (R) Va, feeling out the waters for a presidential bid, seems to keep putting foot in mouth. Born March 8, 1952 in Whittier, California to famed pro football coach Geo. Allen and his wife, Allen has gotten himself into trouble calling someone from the opposing camp who was filming his campaign a 'macaca', which turns out to be a racist word. Then, he tried to distance himself from his mother's jewish ancestry, and currently he's been accused of using the "N" word in his young adult years. George has Mercury in Aries, which can cause one to speak off the top of his head (Aries rules the head), with a Leo moon, which gives him the ego to want to be flamboyant and entertaining....the moon is relatively close to Pluto, which would say his mother was a very strong element in his life, and adds weight to the Leo energy. His Venus in Aquarius would give him a general likeability to the populace, and while we usually look at Pisces energy as spiritual and ethereal, there is that in the Piscean makeup that is the spin doctor. Currently, Allen has Saturn conjuncting Pluto, and opposing Venus, while Neptune is conjuncting Venus and opposing Pluto so the ol' taskmaster of reality is calling him to a higher standard and seemingly exposing the dream-like energy of Pisces. It shows us how this opposition of reality vs. unreality, particularly when it involves one of our planets, affects our lives.

3/17/06 - Senator Russ Feingold has called for a censure of President Bush. He was born on March 2, 1953 in Janesville, Wisconsin. Today, on March 17, Uranus conjuncts his Sun.....Uranus is something sudden, out of the blue, not anticipated. While most Pisceans like to hide behind the scenes, Uranus, going thru the sign of Pisces is forcing them into the forefront. Uranus calls us to be original and different. It scoffs at predictability; it causes us to think a new, think for ourselves, and causes us to lead where others fear to go. No one really likes change, even Aquarius/Uranus people (because it's a "fixed" sign!) but Uranus pulls the rug out from under us and makes us go forward.

2/14/06 - Harry Whittington, shot by vice president Dick Cheney on February 11, 2006 by 'accident', was born on March 3, 1927 in Henderson, Texas. He has a stellium in Pisces, with the Sun, Moon, Jupiter, Mercury and Uranus posited there. And where is Uranus right now? Why in Pisces, of course. Uranus is moving in to conjunct his Sun in March, and since Uranus takes 84 years to circumvent the zodiac, he's moving into his Uranus return in the next few years. Uranus is violence among other things...sudden "explosions" out of the blue, unexpected, particularly with Mars involved, as Mars rules firearms and knives. Mars is moving into conjunct natal Mars and oppose natal Saturn.

10/28/05 - Lewis "Scooter" Libby is expected to be indicted for the Valerie Plame outing today. He was born on August 22, 1950, in.....Connecticut, is all I can find so far. He's a late, late, Leo, so for all intent and purposes, his solar chart would be looked at from a Virgo perspective.....and with Pluto going thru Sag since 1996, it's Virgo's 4th house; the roots of the tree, the foundation of the chart. No one gets out of Pluto going thru the 4th unscathed in some way. It's interesting to note that if you create a composite chart of Libby and his boss, Dick Cheney, Neptune is going thru their 4th house by solar charts, which would make their foundation illusory and not solid...or that the relationship is based on chicanery. Bush and Cheney have the Sun conjunct Neptune in their composite chart....and while we think of Neptune as spiritual, artistic, magical; it still rules sabotage, deceit and subterfuge. ...so you can take it either way.

5/31/05 - After 30+ years, it was revealed today, that W. Mark Felt, second in command at the FBI during the Watergate scandal, was the infamous "Deep Throat". It had been reported that Woodward and Bernstein, the journalists who broke the story that eventually toppled Richard Nixon's presidency, would not reveal Deep Throat's identity until his death. It has been reported that Felt kept the secret til a few years ago, and now, in failing health, his family felt he should enjoy the accolades while he is alive. Felt was born August 17, 1913 in Twin falls, Idaho. Right now, Pluto is trining his Leo sun, which would bring him power and into the limelight...and Saturn is sitting on his Neptune, which might indicate that the clandestine affairs of Deep Throat are being exposed by Saturn....in the sense that the military regiment-like Saturn, would want to reveal what Neptune was trying to hide. I don't see anything particularly going on with Uranus unless it just went into his first house.
