Uranus is the first planet from the ascendant, in Gemini, in the third house. The Third is the house of communication, as Gemini is its sign on the flat chart (where Aries is always the 1st, Taurus the 2nd, etc). Uranus is the higher octave of Mercury, the planet that rules the house and sign. It brings his mind to a higher level, and can be a near genius, if not truly one. He has a quick mind that can see the possibilities in the future. He probably doesn't want to deal in the past - he wants to move forward.

Most of his planets are on the right side of the chart, indicating he's a chess master, watching what people are going to do and then deciding on his course of action.

1946 - we have the Saturn/Pluto conjunction again. John Edwards and Barak Obama are the most prominent ones who don't. Being in the 5th house, it could say a sibling who is the second one after him has a lot of control issues...it would also indicate that he attracts women who are much more controlling than he, or that if he had kids, he would have a tussle with them. If we look at it from a solar chart, it's his 11th house, whereby he can influence the masses when Pluto is in the 11th. In 1947 Sat/Pluto conjuncted, and in 1948, as they were still pretty close together, Chiron squared them. For those born in the early to middle 40's, it was a very wounding time....The baby boomers carry the scars from those times. Elsewhere I've spoken of the Nep/Pluto sextile being the Master Yod, and now Nep/Pluto in the sky are sesquiquadrating themselves for these natives, and it's moved to those born in 1946-47. The winter of 2007 will see him full of power as Pluto sesqui's itself, but then Neptune moves in to sesqui itself in May of 2008, and that will probably see the rug pulled out from under him, as Neptune dissolves it.

Mercury, Jupiter and Mars are together in Scorpio. Mercury is communication, again, and Jupiter makes him speak in broad terms while Mars can be combative.

His 7th house of love and marriage is fraught with 5 planets. Here is a man who should be married, with all that energy in the marriage house. I have that, too. I always said I should have been married for 40 years, or 40 times. My life should center around relationship, and I've been alone most of my life, one short marriage, and 3 kids. Kucinich didn't marry until recently, near 60 years of age.

Currently, Pluto is moving thru his 9th house, which is the preparatory house for success in career. This is the time to study, travel and prepare, becoming a well rounded person, with a wealth of knowledge to draw from. In a couple of years it will enter his 10th house of career; but as we've seen, it doesn't always indicate the presidency of the United States....but he is coming into a stage of life to be successful in what he was sent here to do this time.

Chinese Astrology

Dennis Kucinich was born in the year of the Dog, the Month of the Horse, the Hour of the Rooster, and the Minute of the Tiger.

We know that Dennis just recently married. When the Dog and the Horse get together, it doesn't bode well for a relationship. Oh, The Horse wants to be loved and to love; the Horse is always looking for the right mate. But The Dog is wary of relationship. The Dog remembers the slings and arrows and hurts of past relationships and doesn't want to go there again. Hence, he 'protects' the Horse, by being a territorial Dog, barking and lunging and scaring potential romantic encounters away. If a woman should see through to his soul, however, they'll find a wonderful Horse who will delight in being together.

The Rooster fears a lot of things. The Rooster reads the newspapers, listens to the news ad nauseum, wanting to be on top of things should something untoward arise. They know that if things have been hum drum for too long, that the energy will burst somehow with a new drama.

Born in the Minute of the Tiger, Dennis needs to be recognized and admired, but he also suffers loss and fears when the next will happen. He can be grief-stricken and it can take a lot of time to get over.

There is a stellium of planets in the 7th house, Libra and Scorpio, and the Dragon/Stomach meridian on the Chinese overlay. The way to healing for Dennis is thru getting in touch with what he needs, wants and desires and bringing those into balance. Perhaps as Saturn and Pluto squared his Scorpio planets as a child, he was 'disposed from office' as the Chinese would say when we have an identity taken away from us, and now he's trying to regain that identity thru the presidency to find that person who was lost long ago.

One would think, that this might be the right chart, since with the 5:30 pm time chart has Aries rising, and Aries are the warriors and would be more prone to opt for war. But he looks more like an Aries rising, and with the Rooster rising on the Chinese chart, he could be looked at as a banty rooster because of his size.....small in size but tall in stature.

On the "Tucker" show recently, Kucinich was being discussed, and as usual I was multi tasking so picked it up in the middle, but they were saying that there was a hair dresser or makeup artist or the like, who had worked on famous celebrities and politicians, and she said that Kucinich had the purest energy of anyone she had ever worked on. which would kind of make a point for Libra rising with Sun conjunct Neptune on the horizon.

An interesting sidelight is when you take that survey as mentioned on the first page of this section, a number of people who are/were for other candidates, found the Kucinich came out on top; even one who is a Bush supporter.
