12/29/06 - I was really surprised to hear that Saddam Hussein may be hanged at any moment. We're so used to appeals taking 20 years in this country that hanging him so quickly after his sentencing really shocked me.

There are different dates and times for Hussein's birth. Much like Ronald Reagan. The 'official' one on the Astrodatabank has 12 noon as a type of solar chart, putting his sun sign in the 10th house. It gives him a Leo rising.

Let's look at a couple of charts here. If he was born on April 28, 1937 in Tikrit, Iraq, he has a Taurus Sun conjunct Uranus, and a Sag Moon conjunct Mars. The Sun conjunct Uranus says that he is an original thinker and some sort of a maverick. He can be an 'outlaw' answering to his own set of rules. With a chart that really shows no Air signs, which would make him very subjective and take things personally, this Sun/Uranus conjunction provides a semblance of mental acuity, altho since it's Uranus, it can be a unpredictable. The Moon in Sag conjunct Mars, shows a powrful volatility, jealous, quick to anger. Unless other aspects balance it, people with this combo are prone to ruthlessness and vindictiveness. While Saturn is in a trine to the moon, nevertheless it's in Aries, so would connect to Mars, adding a cruelty aspect to an otherwise touchy combo as it is. Mars/Saturn is often an aspect of a military mind, of an authority figure who rules with an iron hand. It would also suggest that he probably didn't get along with his mother.

Chiron is the first 'major' planet behind Pluto, and thus is his 'destiny orb'. There was some major wounding that happened to him in his early years that set forth the path that he was to follow. Right now, Pluto, at the end of Sag, finds natal Mars the last planet that it passed over in its journey, and would be a key planet that would forecast his demise; altho Mars would usually indicate knives or guns, not hanging. Pluto in Sag is also inconjuncting natal Pluto; in fact, natal Pluto is at the apex of the Master Yod (Neptune sextile Pluto) which it is for all people born in the late 30's, but of course, the vast majority, 99% probably, aren't going to meet Hussein's fate. The focal point of the Yod tho, brings Plutonian energy into play - a power struggle par excellence!

On the astrodatabank page, one speculation for a time of birth is 3:35 am. This would be late Pisces rising, with Saturn at 0 degrees of Aries on the ascendant. That has possibilities. Saturn would very much be a militaristic person, and while it moves Pluto just into the 5th, it's close enough to the bottom of the chart to make it a powerful influence that the roots of his foundation are wound around.

Currently, Saturn in Leo conjuncted his natal Pluto a couple of years ago, which was his comeuppance, and Saturn's energy has been bouncing off of Pluto ever since. Saturn and Pluto together is always a rough combination; lots of power and authority in one spot to call the native to account for every move he's made in life.

Chinese Astrology: Using the 3:35 time, Hussein would have been born in the Year of the Ox and the month of the Ox, at Tiger time, with the Snake being his achillees' heel. The Ox is addicted to luxury and the best things in life. Which is why those potentates have those huge, HUGE, homes. Lots of pomp and circumstance; lots of oppulence, throwing money around at that level (altho the traditional Taurean is usually very thrifty). The Ox usually has someone who makes his life easy....in this case, it's probably the United States in that it bought his oil. Being born in Tiger time, he would have a huge ego, be intolerant and full of pride....pride goeth before the fall, in this case. Tigers usually want to be seen and acknowledged, but when it's added to the Ox energy, it really amps it up. Born in the minute of the Snake, he fears rejection and courts disappointment. He needs to be right, can't be wrong, and has to have the last word........Seeing as he wrote a letter to his people in the last day or so, maybe this chart is right, or at the very least, he has Snake prominently place somewhere in the accurate chart.
