June Allyson was the movie star of the 40's, 50's who was like the girl next door. With her raspy voice and her genuine charm she won the hearts of people around the world.
June was born on October 7, 1917, a Libra with a Cancer moon. Libra is known for its beauty and graciousness being ruled by Venus, while Cancer is the sign of home and family, which, combined with the moon, its ruler, would give her that quality that men want to marry. She was like "Mary Ann" on "Gilligan's Island" - while "Ginger", the movie star, was the sexy one, in any poll between the two of them, "Mary Ann" (Dawn Wells) always won hands down. June's Libra sun is close to Pallas,so she was probably interested in bringing new concepts together to make something new...and highly intelligent. Her Moon is conjunct Pluto in Cancer, which would indicate a dominating mother...altho it's been written that her mother was raising her by herself and after June had a bad accident which necessitated physical therapy for some time, her mom would go without eating when expenses got high. .....yet, after the death of her first husband, Dick Powell, June was in a court battle with her own mother over her children.
June lived a long life, and experienced her Uranus return (to natal position of Uranus) at 84, and was just about to move in to her 3rd Saturn return. Saturn in Leo conjncted her natal position of Neptune on May 28th....certainly not an indicator of death, but when the two get together it's usually a time of depression and low energy.
I feel the same way about June Allyson that my aunt-by-marriage did when my mother died. Even tho she hadn't seen her in 20+ years, she wrote that "just knowing she was alive out there was comforting"....just knowing June Allyson was alive was comforting. An element of graciousness and kindness has left the earth.

Celebrity deaths are reputed to come in 3s, and it's often the case. Shortly after June Allyson left us, Red Buttons followed. He was a comedian and actor, who won an academy award for "Sayonara" in 1957, yet it never gave him the top acclaim that it should have. Born on February 15, 1919, in New York, he had his sun in late Aquarius, and Moon in Virgo. The fact that Uranus conjuncts his sun, adds to the Aquarian aspect of the sign. He was undoubtedly a free thinker who was ahead of his time. He probably had a quick, facile mind that saw how things could be done more efficiently. A Virgo moon is going to make his comedic delivery precise, with a perfectionist's touch to work over his routines until he got them the way he wanted....it also makes him like Virgos...and as you'll see below, was a key individual at Virgo Jack Warden's wedding.
Born in the Year of the Sheep, with Pluto/Jupiter in the Sheep area of the chart, using the Chinese overlay, he may have been victimized in life, and the fact the academy award never catapulted into fame and fortune is rather indicative of that.
Born in the month of the Dog, according to the 5 element/acupuncture process that I use, he was a friend to all and enjoyed the company of all types of people. Dogs often have issues with boundaries....either letting people in too close, or keeping them too far away. Finding that crucial inbetween setting is their quest.

Jack Warden was a profilic character actor who brought years of enjoyment with his fine performances. He starred in two series, one of which, "Crazy Like a Fox" was one of my favorite shows in those days....in the IMDB listing it says that Red Buttons, who died a week before, was best man at his wedding. Warden was born on September 18, 1920 in Newark, New Jersey. He was a Virgo with a Sag Moon. With an early Sag moon and late Virgo sun, the two major planets weren't in square, but they are by sign. Saturn is the last planet behind the sun and close enough (giving the sun a 10 degree orb) to be 'conjunct'.....which would aid his crusty demeanor. The Moon and Mars are conjunct which would indicate that he and his mother were often at odds. Warden had Uranus in Pisces and lived to see his Uranus return. Even tho Warden was a Virgo, it was in late degrees, so, while Pluto was transiting Sag in the sky in the 4th house for most Virgos, it was moving thru Jack's 3rd house of communication and had recently entered the solar fourth. He died of heart and kidney failure, and could suggest he has a Sag or Pisces rising (Pisces for an actor would be appropro) since they are correlated to the Horse and Rooster overlay in the Chinese chart....and I always caution for Horse and Roosters not to be apprehensive of this - after all he lived to be 86 - just keep your heart and kidneys healthy.
Jack was born in the Year of the Monkey and the month of the Snake. The Monkey can be like a spider monkey, jumping from tree to tree, or it can be a gorilla, depending on the need for control. The more a Monkey can trust the Universe and not try to dictate everything the better off he is. The Snake has to be right, and frequently needs to be in a superior position in a relationship....whether that is true for Warden, is debateable since we don't know him beyond his roles, but it is indicative.
Actor Kurt Krueger has also died during this time span. A blonde, germanic actor of the 40's and 50's, he was born July 23, 1916 in Michenberg, Germany, and died of a stroke on July 12, 06 in Los Angeles. IMDB Listing
