Poor Britney......I did an analysis of her chart a year or so ago, and was trying to support her, with the barrage of paparrazzi following her every move. But, it became harder to do so when she started acting so erratically. I've reworked the piece, and added some more info:

(previous article in italics) Let's see - she was born on December 2, 1981 in Mahon, Mississippi ....or McComb Mississippi, or Kentwood Lousiana, depending on where you look. The time seems to be pretty accurate at 1:30 am CST, altho one astrologer estimates it's an hour later. She's a Sag with a Aquarius Moon and Libra rising.....fire with air.....air can whip fire up into an inferno if it's not watched.

Most of her planets are on the left side of the chart which says that she's an 'actor' - it's left-brained, yang energy that spontaneously acts, and then mops things up afterwards (while those with planets on the right side are 'reactors' - they play a chess game and see what the 'actors' do and then makes their moves accordingly - they don't have as much mess to clean up).

In her first house of Self, there is Pallas on the ascendant, and I've written elsewhere here about Pallas' mental energy, and it's duality between genius and autism. In Libra, an air sign, it cetainly indicates an ability to be canny and know where she wants to go.

Saturn and Pluto join Ceres in Libra and Jupiter in Scorpio in the first house. This house not only reflects the 'native' (the person whose chart it is) but Dad's Mom and Mom's Dad; it would appear that one or both of them were strong disciplinarians who ruled the roost.....no matter whether she stood up to it or was cowed by it, it created a strong-willed woman who will have her own way.

Britney has a stellium in Sagittarius - Uranus, Mercury, Sun and Neptune, as well as Vesta and Juno. Uranus conjuncts Mercury and the Sun, adding another element of air - and eccentricity because of Uranus to her personality. Along with Pallas up there on the ascendant, this is a pretty sharp little gal who may only be pretending she's just a country girl.

Pluto moved from Libra at her birth, thru Scorpio, and then has spent 10 years moving thru Sagittarius, going over one Sag planet after another. It brought her fame and it brought her into prominence, but it has been a heavy-duty 10 year span of growth experiences.....too heavy maybe, for one so young.....surely, tho, as Pluto finishes up and moves on at age 25, she'll be a force to be reckoned with, with an inner strength that knows subterranean depths.

Currently, Saturn has entered her 11th house, of tv and celebrity. Saturn, of course, would create the public being the judge of her rather than her adoring fan, at this point. At the same time, Saturn is Sesqu'ing Neptune, while Pluto is conjuncting Neptune. The glamorous facade she had created to sell herself, is dissolving to the reality of Saturn and Pluto who pull no punches.

New info: If we look at the chart with a rectified 2:30 a.m. time frame, it puts Saturn/Pluto conjunction on the ascendant, which would make her far more grounded and solid than her actions depict now. The sun would be in the second house, Neptune in the 3rd; all the planets on the bottom of the chart, except for Mars, making her less likely to strive for stardom. It would be interesting to know what I'm not seeing here that would validate that chart.

The 1:30 a.m. chart still has Saturn and Pluto in the 1st but nearer the center of the house - providing that stability and control, so she's much stronger than we think, but it can also create a narcissistic effect and need for controlling the life she has created for herself, like a knee-jerk reaction to hold on in the face of mounting obstacles. With this birthtime, Pallas is on the ascendant. This is interesting, because in mythology, Pallas was born of Zeus' head, and is very much a mental asteroid.......Depending on how it's aspected (and in this case, it is part of a sextile, to Uranus, Vesta, Juno , Mercury and the Sun in Sag, creating a Yod point to Taurus, where Chiron (wounding) is in the vicinity) - can go all the way from genius to autistic to retardation in the extreme. Here, it looks like with Pallas in an Air sign of Libra, to boot, that she has a highly developed mind, and now, Neptune is squaring that Chiron-yod point, and actually went over the Yod point a few years back. Because Neptune and Chiron are so close together right now, she also is in her Chiron square Chiron, which is at the farthest end of the square potential *. The Chiron square is often the time of deep challenge, and here we have Neptune, which could affect the mind - by being anti-mind almost, seeing the whole picture rather than the pieces that make it up - together with Chiron right now, adding an element of illusion, confusion, and perhaps bringing drugs into the mix, which can be prescribed drugs, I'm not intimating anything here....and Neptune tends to make us more sensitive to drugs, and can hide a diagnosis.

Still, she has all the planets below the chart, with Pluto moving in to the 4th, about to roto root her foundation. Jupiter and Venus are there now, hopefully paving the way, and providing a soft space to fall, but with Pluto moving into the 4th on this 1:30 a.m. chart, there could very well be a power struggle with her family over her property and kids. Pluto going thru the 4th is often a time of struggle with mom or other powerful women, and can affect real estate. I only surmise the property and kids because it's part of her life right now.

That explains what's going on to a certain degree. I look at what planets are around the sun, and particularly Venus, to see what strongly affects their personality. In this case, Neptune is between the Sun and Venus, which is appropro, indicating a person who sings and dances and also acts. Neptune is illusion, it rules dancing, and glamour and movies, but it also rules drugs and alcohol and whole brain thinking. It's a significant planet in her chart.

But, this gives us a bunch of pieces of the puzzle but it really doesn't bring it all together.

In astrology, we often don't give the solar chart enough credit. This is the chart that we use when we don't know the time. It's calculated for the time the sun is aligned with the ascendant in the morning. This is what we use to write sun sign articles for newspapers and magazines. And, we find they have validity, don't we?

What the solar chart says, is that all people under a given sign are dealing with similar issues......and then when we synthesize the birthtime chart with the solar chart, we can see how the individual is going to integrate the general tendencies with the specific.

So, with Britney's birthchart, we have a Sagittarius with an Aquarius moon and Libra rising, with Pallas on the ascendant, with the ruler of her moon, Uranus, near her sun, giving her almost an Aquarius personality, and being another air/mind planet. Mercury and Uranus are conjunct, creating another aspect of highly intelligent, creative mind, yet can be erratic. Currently, Pluto is about to go into the 4th house, at the bottom of her chart, creating a power struggle with the family., while the Neptune/Chiron conjunction has recently gone over her moon, in the 5th house of children, perhaps showing those parental issues.....but nothing really stands out.

If on the other hand, we look at the solar chart, with the Sag sun at 10 degrees on the ascendant, we find that the sun and Neptune are far more prominent, with Neptune in the first house, certainly showing her singing and dancing and music interest, and close enough to the sun to create the career she has developed. The solar chart puts far more planets on the top half of her chart, putting Pluto in the 11th where she would have a dramatic effect on the populace, and would also show the volume of money from her career.

Currently, on this solar chart, Pluto has been moving thru the 1st house since around the start of the millennium, bringing her into power and stardom, yet Pluto in the first always indicates a power struggle with mate, and she really set it up by marrying Kevin Federline during this period. She might as well have said, "here, marry me, and let's have a power struggle".

On this solar chart, Mars is curretly in the 7th of mate, showing the angst, and Saturn will be moving in to the 10th of career in a couple of years, which has the tendency to make the public more demanding of a person's talents. Doesn't mean she won't continue to do well, if she's still in the public eye, but she'll be scrutinized more. By that time, she'll be approaching 30 and hitting her Saturn return during that time as well. Certainly a time where this little girl is going to have to grow up and mature quickly. With Jupiter and Venus now in Capricorn, 2/08, her 2nd house of money, it should shore up her finances, and then when Pluto goes into the second house in a few years, it's a time of really building up her fortunes, but there usually is a little set back before it starts to climb again.

It's often enlightening to run a solar chart with a birthtime chart, and see what stands out for you. By synthesizing the two, you often come up with a more indepth analysis.

I started this with "Poor Britney", and 'poor' is often a word given to the Neptunian energy. In this Saturnian world of finite reality, the often unreality of Neptune is looked upon with judgement. We just need to see that Neptune is just another form of reality and not condemn it. When a Neptune time occurs, it's time to look at how we can use it constructively by implementing the things it does well in this world: artistry, music, dancing, photography, counseling, oil, glamour, acting, psychic, whole brain thinking. For Britney, it's time to utilize her Saturn/Pluto strength and focus on her career once again, where she excels.

* Chiron has a very erratic orbit, and goes thru some signs fast and other signs slow. The Chiron square can be as early as age 4 and as late as mid 20's. It skips a generation, so that grandparents usually have had their Chiron square at the same age as their grandchildren, so that they understand each other better because of it.....the parent inbetween usually has their Chiron square at the other end of the spectrum so they aren't in the same space to understand it.

Britney was born in the Year of the Rooster, the month of the Monkey, the hour of the Ox and the minute of the Dragon. Her power colors are blue, green, and yellow. These power animals are symbols to the kidneys, urinary bladder, the Liver and the Stomach. These are the areas of the body she is sensitive to and needs to keep healthy.

The Rooster deals with fear, and is always looking around for danger, which is why they can have neck problems (notice Roosters are always bobbing their heads?) and needs to find courage. The Monkey needs to control her world, and with so many Sag planets (which correlates to the Monkey) she's into control big time. It's her way or the hiway. She has developed a world in which she wants to live, and won't be disuaded. She'll plant a smile on her face and say "Everything is FINE" even when it's falling apart.

Born in the Hour of the Ox, she will give people things to keep them happy and stay with her, because that's what she learned as a child; someone in her life provided her with things to keep her close.....and with a Dragon as her achilles' heel, she grabbed it. The Dragon, remember, loves to have the trappings of the good life all around. It's the element which pushes her to entertain, but it provides her with the 'stuff' and trappings of fame and fortune which she laps up.

Saturn will move on,and if she taps into her innate ability to run her career (and not hurt the baby in the process) her fortunes will turn around. The glaring light of publicity has shone a light on aspects of her ability to mother her child which are unfortunate. Yet, if she was just Mrs. Smith in the heartland of the country, no one would know, and as long as the baby wasn't abused, nothing would be said. Things happen, and maybe they happen in this case, because she's always under the scrutiny of the paparrazzi....let Mrs. Smith of the heartland try to conduct her life in the limelight!
