The Star

The Star "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away there lived a society of alchemists and ancient teachers dedicated to the preservation of life, nature and the survival of mankind. These master teachers were very similar to the Jedi George Lucas portrayed in his 1977 epic "Star Wars - A New Hope" and were just as dedicated in their quest to be victorious on the side of Good over Evil. Toward this end, they created the 17th card of the Major Arcana and named it THE STAR, to express their greatest hope and desire "May The Force Be With You".

It's uncanny how our modern day entertainment industry could actually produce a mass media tool similar to the one (The Tarot) which influenced the minds of civilized people living over 550 years ago. I wonder how many of George's 1977 theatergoers actually realized that they were being subliminally instructed in the basics of fundamental cosmology Metaphysical Principle 101. It was a brilliant move on his part to demonstrate that there is a Universal Force of Consciousness, a radiant and intelligent essence flowing in and through every created object and creature in the Cosmos, both animate and inanimate. I was especially fascinated with the manner in which he portrayed this divine "Force" to be powerfully unbiased in its energy dynamic, but possessing a supernatural magic that could be fashioned to work positively for the virtuous Jedi and strangely enough, just as effectively for the diabolical Jedi of the darkside. A subtle illustration to teach the masses that we, as agents of free will, can utilize and bend the "Force" anyway we wish, but that someday all must account for any abuses contrived or committed that have exceeded the limits of Divine Law, Spiritual Principle and Righteousness.

In THE STAR card our teachers want us to become aware that there is this omnipresent "Force" in the Universe and that each of us has the power and ultimate spiritual mandate to draw it down for proper use within our minds and bodies. They instruct that we should learn to meditate to become quiet, center in, and then concentrate and communicate with the Lotus and "silent voice within". Now, I don't know how many of you meditate, but I do know that for years I considered meditation a "nice" thing to do, but could never really get into its rhythm, practice or interest as others around me seemed to do. It wasn't until I recently experienced a serious illness that I was taught the absolute necessity of practicing its disciplines so that I could be healed.

I hate to admit it, but until recently I lived a life similar to the residents of the previous Tarot Card XVI (The Tower). Sadly I was content in my "Ivory" Tower and felt that my life was my business. I closed down my energies and disappeared within well, when the Lightning Struck and this illness ensued, I quickly awakened from my fall and just like the male and female (self-conscious and subconscious) falling from the tower, I decided to pick myself up and get back on the path. This is where THE STAR card becomes our regenerating salvation.

The woman in the card is your intellectual subconscious mind. The pool before her is the Universal Subconscious, also known as The Collective Unconscious or Universal Mind of God. It's God's thought energy or water of life which travels through our mind-body nerve complex as cosmic electricity. The land represents your body and personality which she nurtures through five streams (5 senses) as she returns her newly created powers to the Universe for others use and healing. The small tree behind is your brain and nervous system. The Ibis (fabled bird of thought) sits on the frontal lobe signifying a readiness to process higher thought.

The card is characterizing her recovery from the fall (The Tower) and her dedication and commitment to the science of meditation as a tool to facilitate her healing and spiritual advancement. The (7) small stars above her are her (7) sacred centers or chakras. Each has been transformed and each is operating in full health. The large yellow star represents the union of her Pineal and Pituitary glands operating separately, but also as ONE unit to facilitate and connect the Universal Mind with our objective mind and its co-creator our brain.

Many consider the brain to be the creator or originator of their thoughts actually it's just a very elaborate switchboard. It's the mind that's the genius behind our original thoughts and concepts. Did you know that when we think, the mind (a specialized electrical field that surrounds our body like an aura) attempts to send an electrical thought impulse (picture image) to the inner-brain tissue. If the inner-brain possesses a brain fiber attuned to the frequency oscillation of the impulse, it will transmit it along that fiber strand to the outer surface of the brain. There a grouping of matching brain cells (same vibration) will coalesce the impulse into an organized electrical picture (thoughtform) that is then projected along the nerve circuitry (antennae) throughout the body. The thoughtform is then projected out into the etheric higher dimensions (4th or 5th) to begin its process of manifestation later becoming a 3rd dimensional reality. If the brain lacks a fiber strand to match a particular mind impulse, then only through concentrated and repeated meditation may one be generated. That's why we must meditate to spiritually upgrade our brain mechanisms to accept higher vibrational realities from Spirit. In this manner, we can continue to evolve spiritually.
